A 59-year-old man admitted smacking his wife upside the head after she used the Lords name in vain during an argument Thursday night in the couples Florida home.

Also good at calling daddy to protect your sorry ass when you cant quite figure out whats being discussed.
Feel free to ping whomever you think might save your little princess butt from having things said to you that make you sad.
Ponies and rainbows for you! Yay!
And another note.
Alright, then. Let's explore the financial consequences for the individual and the affected family, if you could.
By this I mean, how much of your total pre-incident family estate was lost in the total transaction of court costs, jail and divorce settlement, as a percentage? By this I mean if you and your spouse had $50,000 in shared assets prior to the incident, what percentage was spent towards the legal conclusion of the event?
‘They should both be ashamed but only one committed an offense that was against the law.’
And the other broke one of the 10 Commandments.
That's certainly Common Sense to me. Thank you.
Is there a particular reason that you feel the need to ping Jim
every time you post to me? Are you really so weak that you need
someone to stand up for you? I think maybe you are. Man up, Cajun.
If something bothers you, speak out! Why call 911? Are you that weak?
Dependence upon others is a damned weak attribute, yet we see you doing just that more than once here.
I’m sorry about your frailty and weakness.
I’ll not bother you again, since obviously you are a mental
invalid incapable of anything other than crying for help.
Cry on, cryer.
Re: Common sense. You ever heard the saying, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me." Common sense says you don't hit a woman over saying something offensive. You don't hit anybody over saying something offensive. Our legal system is not wrong in making assault a crime but saying something offensive not a crime unless it's libel or clearly harassment and then you let the legal system deal with it.
Re: Zero-Tolerance. While you have a point that there is no bruise or blood drawn, this is not hockey, where penalties only apply if blood is drawn. Assault is assault. And while the article doesn't say, apparently the wife called the sheriff's department and reported it. The article doesn't even say the wife want's the charges dropped, although in many places it doesn't matter, once police establish an assault has occurred the law states the police are to press charges.
Re: the legal treatment of men. I agree the legal system runs men through the ringer. Been there myself. But I was never stupid enough to assault my ex. The unequal treatment of spouses and the money to be made is tearing families apart. And if I had, I certainly wouldn't use my Christian beliefs as an excuse for why I had done it.
That said, if this couple is headed for divorce, which seems likely since the wife hasn't posted the $750 bond and reported him to the sheriff in the first place. I do think both the court dealing with the assault and a family court should take into consideration whether the wife was intentionally provoking him to bolster any child support or alimony payments.

You’re cute when you cry for help.
This is “news”? Really?
Note.
Same here. Some of the replies remind me of rubberneckers at a car crash.
Common Sense dictates this be taken into account *before* the husband is arrested and jailed, not after.
Thank you for your measured response. I sincerely appreciate your civility.
“Men shouldnt hit their wives. Wives should hit their husbands.”
Let’s ask the expert. Laz? Fair hit?
Jesus Tapdancing Castillo (Don’t worry, I’m referring to my gardener, not Christ) that guy is stupid. He is lucky she didn’t kick him in the jingle bells.
I trust you are being facetious. If you don’t know what that means you are really REALLY dumb to post something like you did here.
"Save me, Daddy! Somebody said a mean thing!"
You're awesomely tough.
All he has to do is convert to Islam and say he was following his “HOLY QURAN’S” instructions on how to handle a woman who just committed blasphemy against the Prophet....
There isn’t a liberal around that would convict him if he did that.
Smack upside the head is far better than a bitchslap, which a lot better than:
POW, TO THE MOON ALICE!
Old married couples wouldn’t know what to do with themselves if you take away the smack upside the head, after all, its probably the only sex they have at that point in their life.
And now, for all the wild haired feminazis who are gonna flame me for advocating “spousal abuse”, just remember, in more that 50% of these cases, its the female who does the head slappin. However, since guy’s heads are so much harder, its usually the lady who ends up bustin her hand and having it all turn black and blue. The guy gets another beer and the girl rants all night about the broken blood vessels in her hand while snorting about “why is your damn head so hard?”
LOL (I don’t know, but I been told.)
You're awesomely tough.
Note.
Hey, if you’re such a smacktard kitten that you need
to report every one of my posts to Jim, shall I just
ping you to all my posts? Since they all seem to cause
such butt-hurt for you?
Are there other areas in which my posts cause you to cry?
If you are undergoing therapy I’d be happy to clear all my
posts with your therapist. For a few bucks. To minimize your crying.
Are you in need of adult diapers or an institutional environment?
