The Lynching of George Zimmerman
American Thinker ^ | 06/09/2012 | Anthony W. Hager

Posted on 06/09/2012 10:07:18 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

George Zimmerman's public image took a blow when a judge revoked his bond, alleging that Zimmerman willfully misled the court concerning his financial situation. The fact that he's back in jail makes him appear guilty in the public's eye, and that's what matters. Whether or not Zimmerman misled the court is immaterial. In fact, his guilt or innocence is immaterial. His trial has transcended justice; it's now about capitalizing on opportunity.

Zimmerman has maintained since day one that Trayvon Martin instigated their fatal confrontation. Zimmerman's various injuries coupled with autopsy results revealing Martin's injured knuckles tend to support his story. That evidence might be the reason why he wasn't charged immediately after the shooting. Yet he remains guilty until proven innocent in the eyes of many, including the federal government and national media.

Could there be an orchestrated campaign between government and media entities to see this man imprisoned, or even executed? Despite the physical evidence of which we're aware, an apparent lack of credible witnesses on either side of the case, and expert legal opinion belittling Florida's case against Zimmerman, the FBI has launched a hate crime investigation against him. And it could stick.

We might logically believe that the Fifth Amendment's protection against double jeopardy would compel the Justice Department to abandon the case if Zimmerman is acquitted. Not necessarily. According to Cleveland State Professor Jonathan Witmer-Rich, Supreme Court precedent has established a narrow threshold for claiming double jeopardy. "The double jeopardy clause would not prohibit a federal prosecution of Mr. Zimmerman, even if he were acquitted in Florida state court," Prof. Rich states, although he believes that the likelihood of federal prosecution following a state acquittal is small. However, FBI involvement means Department of Justice involvement, which in turn means Eric Holder involvement.

I’d say George’s use of his firearm to protect his life is proof that it is a good idea to ‘not leave home without it’. The progressives just don’t liek the sheep ebing able to kill the drug crazed wolves the progressive degredation of our culture has spawned.

Puzzles the dickens out of me. I would have thought it was considered to be a dieting aid, but I’ve never heard of opiates or their dextrorotatory equivalents being dieting aids. One person said it was because it makes the consumer “lean” as in standing bent or tilted. That might be more like it.

Nice try, agitprop, but the guy on the right is not Traytable. But we understand why you try these deceptions.

Agitprop? Next I'll be called a troll, eh?

Actually, the guy on the left, holding the baby, is the real Trayvon Martin. Here's a photo of him with his family wearing the same shirt and necklace.

So why did you ask the question, agitprop?

George Zimmerman was not asked by his neighbors to start the neighborhood watch.

And you know that how?? How many of his neighbors did you ask??? I'll bet everyone of those dozens of people that had been burglarized asked if someone would do it and he volunteered. And no one complained because they didn't want the job.

According to Witness 21, the president of the homeowners' association, George was organizing the neighborhood watch on his own.

You misunderstand the phrase "on his own". It means that he was doing the legwork. GZ was taking the lead as committee chairman. Who else was on the committee??? How many signatures on the petition???And this neighborhood watch program was set up with the cooperation of the Sanford Police Department.

He said he met George Zimmerman in September of 2011 because he was getting calls about Zimmerman going around trying to get residents’ signatures to start the crime watch program.

And he said that there were no complaints about George Zimmerman. He said everyone seemed to think he was doing a good job.

You were saying???

Actually, the guy on the left, holding the baby, and the guy on the right are both included in the most recent Orlando Sentinel photogallery of Trayvon Martin pictures. Check it out:

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/breakingnews/os-trayvon-martin-pictures-20120328,0,3247003.photogallery

If the one on the right is not Trayvon Martin, then who is he??? and why is his picture there in that photogallery???

The reason this came to national attention was the assumption by the race-baiters that Zimmerman was Jewish. This presumption also attracted Alan Dershowitz’ interest. At least Douche-yer-wits calls out the lynching instead of turning away when he found out it wasn’t his interest group.

Good Catholic George Zimmerman seems to have no Jewish lineage whatsoever, not even remotely.

Don't patronize me. I didn't misunderstand the phrase "on his own". The president of the homeowners' association knew nothing about George and his petition until the residents started phoning him about it.

Zimmerman was the 'coordinator', the community's liaison to the police department ... he duties included passing out information and flyers to the community, educating block captains, and getting new neighbors involved in the watch. He was supposed to provide the Sanford PD with a list of block captains, but never did.

Maybe your other questions will be answered when Witness 21 takes the stand.

Wendy Dorival said that 25 people attended the initial meeting. That's not a big turnout considering there are 263 residences in the complex.

Don't patronize me.

a little thin skinned are we???

I didn't misunderstand the phrase "on his own".

So then you deliberately misrepresented it.

The president of the homeowners' association knew nothing about George and his petition until the residents started phoning him about it.

Perhaps that's because, as he said in his statement, he had just assumed the position of president of the association and it was his first meeting. Did this new president know about the burglaries??? What was this new president intending to do about those.

Zimmerman was the 'coordinator', the community's liaison to the police department ... he duties included passing out information and flyers to the community, educating block captains, and getting new neighbors involved in the watch. He was supposed to provide the Sanford PD with a list of block captains, but never did.

In case you haven't been paying attention, it wasn't the most cooperative and neighborly of communities. How many of the witnesses testified that they heard screams for help and just closed the door and ignored them??? How many actually called 911???

Wendy Dorival said that 25 people attended the initial meeting. That's not a big turnout considering there are 263 residences in the complex.

And who are you to say??? Did you actually read her statement or misunderstand it or are you deliberately misstating it. She called it "a good turnout of 25 people".

Quit speaking for other people. You misrepresent what they say. You're not a good witness.

You’re not arguing with me. I stated that IF the Skittles and drink were found in the vicinity of the body, then IMO he didn’t make it home and come back specifically to attack GZ, as has been claimed.

I had seen no information about where these items were found. Thanks for providing some.
