MIAMI— — A 27-year-old Miramar woman who described herself as the girlfriend of the man killed by police as he gnawed off the face of a homeless man stepped forward Wednesday to speak out against what her counselor called a growing scourge: cannibalism. Yovonka Bryant's counselor? Los Angeles celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred.

Does this mean Allred is going to become the "Anita Bryant" of cannibalism? Who is she to foist her morals on the rest of society? Does she know the suicide rate among cannibals? Does she realize that judgmentalism like hers is causing young cannibals to be bullied in school? And by the way they prefer to be known by the less clinical term of "hungry." People have no idea the challenges face by the "hungry" community. It's time for county health clinics to distribute free, sterile carving knives to stop the spread of disease...

As I read this article, I was impressed with the satirical humor and the absurdity. A media whore like Alred, and the ever-present “he was a good person” comments from friends made for totally believable satire.

Then I realized ... this was an actual article, in a real
“newspaper”, with “real” people, saying “real” words ... that actually happened.
