GOP Attacks Celebrity Support For Obama [Gaga,Clooney,Bon Jovi, Spike Lee, Sarah Jessica et al]

GOP Attacks Celebrity Support For Obama

By David Nakamura June 4

President Obama dined last month with 150 guests at George Clooney’s California cottage. He exchanged quips in January with Spike Lee in the director’s New York City townhouse.

Last fall, Obama entertained megastar Lady Gaga, who was seated in the front row of a Silicon Valley fundraiser in six-inch heels and a towering blond bouffant.

Obama’s popularity with Hollywood glitterati is again on display as his campaign mobilizes its vast fundraising apparatus to amass cash in a campaign that is shaping up to be the most expensive in U.S. history.

If Obama was the candidate of cool in 2008, when celebrities such as musician Will.I.Am produced viral campaign videos , he has even more aggressively employed star power to open pocketbooks, build buzz and, perhaps most notably, deploy celebrities to target specific constituencies.

Yet Obama’s glamorous elbow-rubbing carries significant risks as he struggles to convince voters that he is focused single-mindedly on their economic concerns. And it is triggering attacks from his Republican rivals, who contend that the president is more interested in hobnobbing with Hollywood to help his campaign than he is in helping ordinary Americans.

On Monday, the Republican National Committee released a Web video called “Meanwhile,” which flashes unemployment numbers for various groups — women, Latinos, African Americans, youth — under clips from an Obama campaign video from last Friday of Vogue Editor Anna Wintour talking about hanging out with “Sex and the City” star Sarah Jessica Parker and first lady Michelle Obama. The bustling sounds of New York City streets give way to crickets chirping at the end of the RNC version, along with the tag line: “Obama’s focused on keeping his job. But what about yours?”

Unfortunately, 47% of the US population view people like Obumo, Jon Stewart, and Lady Gaga as towering intellects.
And they can redistribute their income any way they like...
as long as they keep their hands off mine.

The no-class president has outdone the previous trailer park president Slick Willie.

Hanging out with movie stars, sports thugs and rap artists pretty much defines his intellectual level. All groups with an average IQ in the low 80s.

But with lots of money.

What's the word for a wanna-be famous but useless type?
His next famous by association affair is with a horsefaced female third rate actress? Wonderful!

This does not bother me a bit. Ronald Reagan used to have Hollywood celebs give parties and raise money for the Reagan’s all the time. We have bigger reasons to dump Obama than this.

This is a great sign. If the MSM wasn’t scared to death of the growing conservative led New Media a story like this would not have been published.

In the past Ditz In The City Sarah J Parker could have kissed a Leftist president’s butt and it would have been accepted as a given with no important dissent reported.

Now, not so much;)

The chart clearly shows increases in government spending are associated with fewer jobs, not more. The data for the past hundred years shows the same negative relationship between the growth in government and the number of jobs. It is no coincidence that European and other countries with larger governments almost always have lower labor-force participation rates.

10.9% Unemployment Rate if the Labor Force Participation rate was the same as when Obama took office.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Labor Force Participation Rates remain near 30-year lows.

We’ve had 40 months of unemployment above 8%.

The above chart shows the “labor force participation rate.” This statistic represents the share of working-age Americans who are either employed or unemployed but looking for work. It is not a pretty picture. Only 63.7% of working-age Americans are currently in the workforce – the lowest in almost 29 years!

To put it another way, 36.3% of working-age Americans do not have a job and are not even looking.

The problem is..They do not want to redistribute theirs..They want you to keep on paying high prices to go to their concerts, movies or whatever and then, they want to steal your money to place themselves in dictatorial authority over you, and everything dear to you while they take up residence at the White House. Do you want your life to be like, say, “Sex in the city?” Who wants their daughter to be like Sarah Jessica Parker???? Success in life comes down to character and, in my mind, very few in the entertainment profession have even a smidgen of that. Maybe Ashley Judd does, but at the moment, she is wallowing in that culture. She has a good heart, even though she has a gross misperception of why the world is like it is and her view of abortion is very liberal. I think she will turn around but I think George Clooney and the others are lost souls.

These people we disagree with became wealthy because we gave them our money.

Stop going to their movies.

Stop buying their albums.

Stop buying their books.

Stop watching their TV shows, and stop buying the products of their sponsors.

Vote with your wallet !

When someone makes you look and feel smarter by virtue of their presence, you naturally wish to have them nearby for comparison.

Having Idi Obama around, makes these people feel smarter whenever he utters his inane drivel and idiotic platitudes.

He also has to have someone write whatever he says, and like all of the glitterati, when he goes off script he cannot put together any semblance of an intelligent statement.

If it were not for the words "I" and "me" a roomful of these poseurs would be completely silent.

Let's put this into perspective. If you went to one of these events, and they didn't have the paper covers to put over the seats, would you bother to use the bathroom?

Didn't think so.

The bottom line is - he couldn't even get near the finish line without them. They've been propping him up since '08, along with the media. He's nothing without either of them covering his back.

The author must be referring to Vapid-Americans here.

One difference though is that many of them were actually friends of Reagan from his years in Hollywood and SAG.

Most of these limousine liberals have never even met Obama, except maybe at another fundraiser...

All spending is political. I am boycotting GM forever (even refused to rent a GM car and went with another company that gave me a Toyota at the same rate) because of the massive corruption of their restructuring. I see VERY few movies in the theater, none most years, because of Hollywood’s political agenda. Even whether I buy new tires, new clothes, and other optional purchases before or after the November elections is a political decision, and all purchases that can be postponed will be delayed until after we find out if America will live or die. I don’t want my spending to contribute even slightly to an uptick in economic reports that could be used to credit Obama with anything but a combination of massive corruption and shocking evil.
