Appearing as a panel member on Sunday's Melissa Harris-Perry show, comedienne Margaret Cho wondered why some women are Republicans as she asserted that the GOP is "a party that's so against our rights, our reproductive rights, so many rights in so many ways."
Cho also complained that Sarah Palin tries to "beat feminism down," claiming that "Sarah Palin wouldn't exist without feminism."
After host Melissa Harris-Perry recounted a GOP drive to appeal to women, Cho wondered:
What are women getting out of the GOP? That's, I always question that. I always wonder. This is a party that's so against our rights, our reproductive rights, so many rights in so many ways. What do we get from them? What do women get from them?
A bit later, after Harris-Perry brought up moderate Republican women like Olympia Snowe who are getting out of politics, Cho brought up Sarah Palin as she responded:
I think they've disappeared just because of social issues and women are such a huge thing. I mean, women, I think, in the GOP are looking for an identity, and I think that's why Sarah Palin's, you know, her appearance was so exciting for them because here is somebody who is really kind of like a showpiece for all of our conservative views and somebody who legitimizes what I think is backward really about, you know, women's rights because, you know, these women wouldn't exist, Sarah Palin wouldn't exist without feminism. Yet, she tries to beat feminism down every chance she gets.
The left seems to be in free fall they must know the jig is up
I suspect that many women are republicans because unlike Ms. Cho they actually like being woman.
Is that what Brett Kimberlin said?????

Margaret C. Ho is just jealous that Bristol kicked her ample arse in DWTS.
I thought she starved in North Korea 5 years ago....NOT!!!
My first question is:exactly who is Melissa Harris-Perry?
My second one is:exactly who is Margaret Cho?
Hmmm. Sarah Palin epitomizes feminism. She’s not only a good mother. She’s an ex-governor of a state. Plus, real freedom to choose mean it’s OK to choose to raise a family, be a faithful spouse, believe in Christ, and not abort difficult pregnancies. It’s also OK to choose to work in or out of the home.
What the leftists call feminism is not freedom and equality for females. It’s repression. To them, a woman isn’t free if she’s not killing her children, thumbing her nose at God, sacrificing everything for a career, and bedding down every man she can.
The insanity of her standing is that somehow, the Left is for reproductive freedom. They are not. They are for killing babies. They are for sterilization. They are for population control. You can’t get any more controling than Communist China. Yet that is their model.
Messed up. Completely messed up.
Indeed
I don't give a crap what she thinks or says.
Bristol sure did. Yay
I don’t consider it a “right” to kill the unborn.
Margaret Cho? How 1997!
Margaret Cho is still in showbiz? I thought she was losing her mind to syphilis in some VD clinic.
Real women are republican in order to protect their families from the antifamily agenda of the left.
Margaret Cho was funny - 10 years ago.
They are SO jealous of the absolutely beautiful GOVERNOR SARAH PALIN they can hardly talk fast enough to villify her fast enough to finish their diatribes before everybody quits listening to them.
GOVERNOR PALIN is drop-dead gorgeous, has a drop-dead gorgeous husband, has traditional values, has done it without affirmative action . . and that ain’t all . . Miss Cho can just eat her jealous heart out!
Cho is a man-hating flaming lesbian who does not even need nor use birth control, so that right there disqualifies her from trying to represent the sexual needs and issues of normal women. This is like my cat taking on the role of being spokeman for women in America.
Lesbos are terribly resentful and jealous of successful, beautiful, heterosexual, married, Christian mothers like Palin. This is why every smash mouth queer in the country has gone after her like they contracted rabies.
