SANFORD, FL (CNN) Trayvon Martin walked into a 7-Eleven in Sanford, Florida, grabbing a bag of Skittles and a can of AriZona iced tea. The hood from his dark gray sweatshirt over his head, he walked up to the counter, reached deep into his pants' pockets, paid the clerk, then walked out.
This seemingly mundane act - captured on a surveillance video - would be the last image the 17-year-old's loved ones would have of him alive.
While questions still remain, what happened next to Martin on the night of Feb. 26 became clearer on Thursday with the release of scores of pages of investigative and medical examiner's reports, in addition to new images of Martin's shooter and the 7-Eleven video.
Martin didn't live in Sanford, a central Florida city of about 53,000 people. Yet by that winter night, he'd been there for seven days, after being suspended for the third time from Dr. Michael M. Krop High School in Miami - in this instance, for 10 days after drug residue was found in his backpack, according to records obtained by the Miami Herald.

It’s reported elsewhere he had been smoking pot. These are rather moderate munchies for that. Pizza, maaaaan! Not Skittles.
The new Metrosexual thug!
Would you like to guess the flavor of the iced tea?
Looks like he didn’t know how to get out of the place, and it looked like he bent down and put something in his sock.
Acting goofy...
Did I miss it or is there no mention of what time this takes place?
I suspect that there is a time lapse from the 7-11 to the phone call from Zimmerman. The time of this tape would help greatly.
Pretty big guy. If he were coming at me on a dark street, I’d be glad I had a gun on me.
"OK. We don't need you to do that," the dispatcher responded.
But Zimmerman followed him anyway.
This is not a substantiated fact, it is speculation. The news is still schilling for a court lynching.
“...the 17-year-old’s loved ones...”

My behind.
Would that be the “loved ones” that hadn’t seen him in days or weeks?
It was a rather warm evening in Florida and Trayvon is wearing a hoodie which is very odd and suspicious. In the store, we only see a snippet of video and cannot see if Trayvon may have stolen other things from the store and the Skittles were just for appearance.
Sure didn’t look like a little kid to me, and another witness claimed he was usint mixed martial arts hits while on Zimmerman. Anybody know if he had any training in martial arts?
LOL!!! He had to reach deep because his pants were halfway down his A$$ - that's the reason for the "Hoody" is to extend down to cover what his pants should be covering!!! Ignorant reporter, writing like they'd never seen an urban "yute" before...
Strange - he did stop to bend down and do something to his sock or shoe or the bottom of his pants, and then he seemed about to go back into the store or to turn around. I notice that the clerk was watching him and was actually following him (gasp!), and also stayed on the phone for the entire time the kid was in the store. So obviously the clerk wasn’t comfortable with his behavior.
Actually, it was unseasonably cold that night. In the 50’s and rainy.
That’s why George Zimmerman was heard saying “it’s f-ing cold” on the 911 tape. Of course, the media told us he said “f-ing coons”.
Are you saying that Trayvon wearing a hoodie was not suspicious?
That won’t come out until trial, if true.
There’s no way the media wouldn’t keep a lid on that bit of info.
