In a memo to members today, SEIU Local 1000 President Yvonne Walker said that she was consulted about Gov. Jerry Brown's plan to cut state employees' pay and that she drew a line at imposing unpaid time off on workers.
"First let me say that I have made it clear that furloughs are not on the table," Walker wrote.

If Brown had any balls he would have have tore her a new one for that comment (of course, Brown is a coward). I don’t care if the Pope himself came in to make the comment, if I were Governor and someone dared say that they would find themselves escorted out by security in handcuffs and all future access permanently revoked.
They can’t cut the state workers time too much. Who would enforce the tens of thousands of regulations against us producers?

Not to brag or anything, but Wisconsin is doing a FINE job of getting rid of the Unionistas under the guidance of Governor Walker. Recall? Bring it! We’re ready. More people turned out to vote FOR Governor Walker in a BOGUS Primary than actually voted for him the FIRST time around. That’s AWESOME! :)
And even if we DO get a LibTard Governor, we OWN the House and Senate. Nothing will change and we will have at least slowed the march off the cliff...

Watching them squirm dealing with problems that they created is really making my day. In the end nothing will be resolved and the can will be kicked further down the road until the last business and taxpayer leaves the state. Then what?
Brown can do whatever he wants to do as long as banks accept California’s checks.

I'm from California. I started to see the light around the early 2000s, and it just kept on getting brighter and brighter as the years passed.
By 2004, we'd had another baby, and had grown too large to fit our home sweet house. Wife and I looked for something suitable in our area, and we found it, but at a price tag of just under $700K. I could have pulled the trigger, but my better judgement took over, and I stayed my hand. If I'd taken that plunge, we could have never again had a bad month in business - and that was unrealistic.
After selling the old house, we leased nearby for a year to get our bearings and find a less expensive option, but none were to be had. In time, friends suggested that I at least consider the idea of moving the family and my business to Texas. At their behest, the wife and I came down for a look, and were surprised and delighted at what we found.
Within months, we had bought a new house in the DFW area, and were on our way. The relocation wasn't without its ups and downs, but on balance, it's one of the best choices I ever made in this life.
