Barack Obama launched his campaign in unspectacular fashion today at Ohio State University, the largest college in the crucial swing state. A photo posted to twitter by Mitt Romney's campaign spokesman Ryan Williams reveals that the event was poorly attended. The above image, according to Williams, was taken during the President's first official campaign speech.

If Axelhole was half bright, he would “size” the arena to not quite fit the smallest anticipated crowd. “People were turned away, leaving enthusiastic crowds cheering in the street outside.” That’s a whole lot better headline than, “The President spoke in front of a nearly empty stadium.” Of course, when you own the press, I guess it doesn’t matter.

As long as a mirror, monitor, recorder and teleprompter were available for Obama, I’m sure he mesmerized himself with the sound of his own voice and considered the embarrassing flop to be a resounding success.
Remember this is the guy who `wrote’ two books about himself in his 40s and considered a collection of DVDs of his speeches to be a suitable gift to our most steadfast ally.
I can’t help but think that the GOPee is encouraged by the disgust felt and expressed by ordinary Americans about the current WH occupants.
