Henry Keith Watson remembers April 29, 1992, as if it happened just last week. History won't allow him to forget it. It was a day that marked the beginning of one of the deadliest, most destructive race riots in the nation's history, and one in which Watson's spur-of-the-moment decision to take part made him one of the enduring faces of the violence...
As the liquor store at the intersection of Florence and Normandie was being looted and white passersby were fleeing a barrage of rocks and bottles, Denny stopped his big rig to avoid running over someone. He was quickly dragged from the cab and nearly beaten to death by Watson and a handful of others. As the attack unfolded on live TV, Watson stepped on Denny's head after Damian Williams smashed the trucker's skull in with a brick.

There is some kind of disconnect between cause and effect going on. In the article, they bemoan that there are no grocery stores and no businesses other than the gas station and liquor store.
Who would want to invest their life’s savings in that neighborhood and take the chance that some unrelated event would cause the destruction of their business, looting of their goods, and potentially lead to the loss of their life, or their employees’ lives?
Actions have consequences.
Maxine Waters on the Los Angeles riots of 1992 (Rodney King riots):
"[Maxine] Waters has been criticized for her comments regarding the Los Angeles riots of 1992. In defense of the people that looted stores and damaged property, Waters said 'If you call it a riot it sounds like it was just a bunch of crazy people who went out and did bad things for no reason. I maintain it was somewhat understandable, if not acceptable. So I call it a rebellion.'[5] She also said it was 'a spontaneous reaction to a lot of injustice' and 'The anger in my district is righteous. I'm just as angry as they are.' She responded to the mass looting of Korean-owned stores by saying: 'There were mothers who took this as an opportunity to take some milk, to take some bread, to take some shoes. They are not crooks. Everybody in the street was not a thug or a hood.'"

From David Horowitz's FrontpageMag.com /DiscoverTheNetworks.org:
"Throughout its history, one of RCP's [Revolutionary Communist Party's] principal objectives has been to foment civil unrest in the United States. The most notable example of such efforts occurred on April 29, 1992, when RCP members looted and trashed the downtown and government districts of Los Angeles, triggering the infamous Rodney King riots. During the days immediately preceding the violence, RCP -- which maintained close ties to the L.A. gangs known as the Crips and the Bloods -- had circulated throughout South Central Los Angeles a leaflet featuring a statement by RCP National Spokesman Carl Dix, titled 'It's Right To Rebel' -- a quote popularized by Mao Zedong.
Encouraged by Dix, RCP activists helped lead the riots that would leave 58 people dead, more than 2,300 people injured, some 5,300 buildings burned, and $1 billion in property damaged or destroyed. On the ten-year anniversary of the rioting, RCP member Joseph Veale fondly recalled the violence as 'the most beautiful, the most heroic civil action in the history of the United States.'"

"The RCP [Revolutionary Communist Party] upheld the 1992 sometimes-violent unrest in Los Angeles and nationally as a 'rebellion' in the aftermath of the Rodney King verdicts. Then-LAPD chief Daryl Gates alleged that the RCP was involved in the 'riots'. Los Angeles has long been one of the RCP's larger and more active branches. William 'Mobile' Shaw was a local leader who recently passed and received public commendation from the party."

"I maintain it was somewhat understandable, if not acceptable. So I call it a rebellion."--Maxine Waters
Here's the original source for the Van Jones quote about the time he spent in jail following the Rodney King/LA riots (Jones was arrested in "peaceful" protests in San Fran). It was in a 2005 interview he did with East Bay Express. They of course (what else?) claim he "renounced his rowdy Black Nationalist ways" since then (yet he's calling for "complete revolution" in Aug 2009!):
But in jail, he said, "I met all these young radical people of color -- I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.'" Although he already had a plane ticket, he decided to stay in San Francisco. "I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary." In the months that followed, he let go of any lingering thoughts that he might fit in with the status quo. "I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th," he said. "By August, I was a communist."
"Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal".--James (Jim) Cone,

SEAN HANNITY: But Reverend Jeremiah Wright is not backing down and has not for years and in his strong stance on the teaching of black liberation theology is nothing new. He had the same things to say last spring when he appeared on "Hannity & Colmes:"
WRIGHT: If you're not going to talk about theology in context, if you're not going to talk about liberation theology that came out of the '60s, systematized black liberation theology that started with Jim Cone in 1968 and the writings of Cone and the writings of Dwight Hopkins and the writings of womynist theologians and Asian theologians and Hispanic theologians, then you can't talk about the black value system.
HANNITY: But I'm a reverend
WRIGHT: Do you know liberation theology, sir?

Malik Zulu Shabazz, chairman of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense (NBPP):
"We believe in a Black first philosophy and a Black Liberation Theology."
This is a community that has been assured by government for generations now that actions do not have consequences. This is one of the main roots of perhaps the biggest problem in America today.
Obama's former "Green Jobs Czar", Van Jones, links "Green Movement" to revolutionary communist movement!

STORM's official manifesto, titled, "Reclaiming Revolution," surfaced on the Internet."--via TheObamaFile

VAN JONES SHOCK ADMISSION [in his own words]: "Goal is Complete Revolution"

Here is the transcript of the above YouTube video:
Right after Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat if the civil rights leaders had jumped out and said OK now we want reparations for Slavery, we want redistribution of all the wealth, and we want to legalize mixed marriages. If wed come out with a maximum program the very next day, theyd been laughed at. Instead they came out with a very minimum. We just want to integrate these busses
But, inside that minimum demand was a very radical kernel that eventually meant that from 1964 to 1968 complete revolution was on the table for this country.
And, I think that this green movement has to pursue those same steps and stages.
Right now we say we want to move from suicidal gray capitalism to something eco-capitalism where at least were not fast-tracking the destruction of the whole planet. Will that be enough? No, it wont be enough. We want to go beyond the systems of exploitation and oppression all together. But, thats a process and I think thats whats great about the movement that is beginning to emerge is that the CRISIS is so severe in terms of joblessness, violence and now ecological threats that people are willing to be both pragmatic and visionary.
So the green economy will start off as a small subset and we are going to push it and push it and push it until it becomes the engine for transforming the whole society.

I remember after the riots seeing the 10 block long lines at the remaining post office and the trash waiting for days
to pick up their welfare checks.
Will the Trayvon riots make the L.A. riot look like a Sunday school picnic? They will if $harpton, Jack$on and Obama have anything to say about it.
Where is zer0 and Holder confronting the people who have a bounty out? How can they be responsible office holders and say nothing publicly about a bounty?
Fla is not libstate cali. People in Fla won’t be amenable to little black haters beating on them. They will fight back.
———like it was just a bunch of crazy people-——
They were not crazies, they were feral human detritus. AKA earth scum
My dad worked for LAPD during the riots.
One of the street gangs hit a gun store as the verdict was delivered. They started the first fires to cover their robbery. After that, the vermin of LA just followed.
Note to self, don't break for riots.
Yeah they are, including you, ya thievin' communist bich!
Whereas, back in the day of the LA riots, black neighborhoods were burned down, now Van Jones wants to “progress” to burn down White middle class neighborhoods.
They threatened to do leading up to the LA riots and people on the outskirts of the ghetto gathered their homies, got organized and loaded for bear. What a disaster. Although it would be next to impossible to bus in black rioters to white neighborhoods, there is a chance the politicans would allow that to happen given how they are acting during the Zimmerman case.
After that, the vermin of LA just followed.
The vermin of today follow the most evil leaders they can find. It’s why so many Blacks are in prison and why they are attacking white people and will riot again. There does not seem to be anymore influential Black Christian leaders who are not like Rev. Wright - racist haters and scapegoaters.
Florida has a lot more non rioters who are armed.
