Who would trust NBC regarding any report?
For anyone with half a brain, your question is entirely rhetorical.
To: oh8eleven
I’ve had one for years, and it has been flawless. Love it.

Eyes likes your attitude, Remington!
Just wondering: GE owns NBC I think. Does GE produce, or have a subsidiary that produces, a competing brand of firearms?
GE's been decidedly anti-American ever since ‘Neutron’ Jack retired.

I wish NBC News would hurry up and die.
How many people still trust NBC News (or any network news for that matter), and how stupid do you have to be?
Have you ever seen Matt Lauer's brazen smear of George W. Bush? This stuff is bottom of the barrel:
Matt Lauer is a lying scumbag (must-see video)
To: fish hawk
buck, slug, buck, slug, buck, slug
To me, that sounds like your "buck" shots didn't get the job done and your perp has moved to "danger close."
Why not buckshot the first three or four, then slugs the last two or three?

“I also recommend a pump because they are very reliable and the sound they make when being loaded is the international sound of “you are in a heap of trouble boy.”
Used for self defense or hunting, the only sound should be the safety being clicked off.
There will already be one in the chamber long before I need to shoot.

apparently the gun in question had been worked on to lighten its trigger pull. That isn’t Remington’s fault.

Both approaches are valid IMHO. I once disuaded a home invader by calmly walking to the door the scumbag was trying to break down and racking a round. Heard him/it scurry off instantly. Only evidence left was the puddle of urine outside my door. (No joke.)

The Remington 870 is used by the IDF and the US Marines, and has for the better part of a century, and is the current weapon of choice for the FBI, etc.
Pretty much all you have to know.

I recommend not giving burglar’s or robbers a chance to shoot first. Further I recommend number 1 shot, as it will penetrate to the back of a man, where the spinal chord is likely to reside, and you have more chances to hit it than you would with 00 shot.

I get the close up with the buck, his partner drives away in the car, I put a slug through his rear window. Also I can pump another shell in in a fraction of a second so if the first buck does not stop him and the slug misses, I have another buck at him before he takes a step. I get short range and long range in a fraction of a second. All and all though, the first buck is going to stop him at the front door.

LOL. Last sentence of the article reads
"Neither the dog, which has not been identified, nor any ducks within range at the time of the accident, were injured."So which do you suppose it is? British droll humor par excellence? Or an idiot PC writer?

I dunno, I kinda liked that man down in Texas who shot the guys stealing from his neighbor.
The “you’re dead” is a classic.

NBC long ago lost any credibility, and has been a straight leftist propaganda mouthpiece for many years, even before they created MSNBC as a RAT party outlet.
