President Obama holds a 50-to-45 percent lead over Mitt Romney in Florida, according to a new poll from the Democratic firm Public Policy Polling.
PPP also tested four potential Florida running mates for Romney Sen. Marco Rubio, former Gov. Jeb Bush, Gov. Rick Scott and U.S. Rep. Allen West and found that only Bush would have a positive effect on the GOP ticket in Florida.
A Romney/Bush ticket would narrow Obamas advantage to 49-46, within the polls 3.7 percent margin of error. The survey of 700 Florida voters was taken Thursday through Sunday.
The Obama/Joe Biden ticket holds a 50-43 lead over Romney/Rubio, a 51-40 advantage over Romney/Scott and a 50-40 lead over Romney/West.
PPPs last Florida polls testing Obama vs. Romney showed the president with a 1-point lead in December and September.
” Democratic pollster”..........when do the RATS ever tell the truth??? They continually try to deflate our optimism, just as they did with Reagan.
Gogogodzilla, good post. Your vote is critical in Florida.
I would encourage you to not leave the presidential portion blank, and instead hold your nose and vote for Romney. What good will it be to hold the House, possibly take the Senate, and then leave Obama in place to veto the legislation that is sent to the President? Also, an Obama Supreme Court pick will be around for a long time.
Uhhh... Yeah. Diogenesis, you’re wasting your breath on nodems but I enjoyed your post. Thanks for the info.

Dick Cheney 2012
he’s tanned, rested and ready
Did they ask about Bob Dole? There’s a real grassroots push for the guy right now.
“The GOP is determined to give the country over to Soros again.”
The are determined to obliterate the TEA Party.
Welcome to the United Soviet States of America..where the Pravda State Media vet the candidates to the pleasure and needs of the RinoCrat UniParty.
This election will be a non-election...featuring the state approved candidates-whose only distinction is whether they are black or white.

Yes, momentous and profound decisions like this:
(A) Comrade Vochenko “The Party is the Light of the State!”
OR
(B) Comrade Chenkovo “The Light of the State is the Party!”
Public Policy Polling — the front name for an outfit that shoudl really be called Push Poll Polling (for Democrats).
This is what I would do if there was a candidate I can really support and vote FOR (Sarah Palin, Sarah Steelman, Allen West, Deb Fischer, etc.,).
1. Vote
2. Hold signs in the designated “legal zone” near voting stations (or before an election at a street corner)
3. March in parades
4. Canvass the precincts (I’ve been doing this for the past few weeks)
5. Promote the candidate via Facebook, Twitter, and “letters to the editor”
6. Defend said candidate in the major political websites
7. Open up my check book
8. Distribute fliers/materials at major events
9. Attend seminars (Freedom Works or AFP) to increase my skill base
10. Attend various political events and functions to show support
11. Blog
12. Man an information booth at civic events
13. Recruit new members
14. Seek allies in various conservative groups (TP, county GOP, 9/12, etc.,)
If it’s a candidate that’s the “lesser of the two evils”, I might vote but that’s about it.
I’ll tell you this much, if Mitt picks Jeb Bush then all bets are off.
Picking Jebbie will make it even harder for some of us to pull the Romney lever, or shade his oval, whatever your state has.
State-approved, yes, but also approved by the uninformed Republican primary voters!
You’d be surprised how easy it is to fool millions of Floridians. That’s why I fear jury selection for George Zimmerman.
Jeb as VP would guarantee that we wouldn’t see another Bush as a P for eight more years. Silver lining!
