President Obama holds a 50-to-45 percent lead over Mitt Romney in Florida, according to a new poll from the Democratic firm Public Policy Polling.
PPP also tested four potential Florida running mates for Romney Sen. Marco Rubio, former Gov. Jeb Bush, Gov. Rick Scott and U.S. Rep. Allen West and found that only Bush would have a positive effect on the GOP ticket in Florida.
A Romney/Bush ticket would narrow Obamas advantage to 49-46, within the polls 3.7 percent margin of error. The survey of 700 Florida voters was taken Thursday through Sunday.
The Obama/Joe Biden ticket holds a 50-43 lead over Romney/Rubio, a 51-40 advantage over Romney/Scott and a 50-40 lead over Romney/West.
PPPs last Florida polls testing Obama vs. Romney showed the president with a 1-point lead in December and September.
Oh yeah right.
Good. Let 0bama think that.
Let the commies own the collapse.
That'll be the day, I go to the voting both and cast a ballot for a crazy cultist coward from Kolob.
No Thanks.
“President Obama holds a 50-to-45 percent lead over Mitt Romney in Florida, according to a new poll from the Democratic firm Public Policy Polling.”
I hope they really believe this is true.
This is such BS. They are trying to engineer the ticket.
How nice. Too bad obomney isn’t going to be our nominee.

I hope the GOPe does to.. Maybe (not likely) they will see Milt for the looser he is.
Any poll that doesn’t do specifically likely voters can be dismissed out of hand.
Can’t he at least try to pretend that he wants a conservative as the veep instead of a RINO like Jeb— come on Mitt
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Your tagline is laughable. (Unless Santorum’s “mission” was to keep dividing up the Conservative Vote and giving Romney pluarlity victories until he realized he would lose his home State of PA and dropped out.)
“The Great American Panel” on Hannity tonight, seemed to think that Jeb Bush would help Romney carry Florida easily. Reading between the lines, I think it’s because he is highly popular and with a Hispanic wife and speaking Spanish, he will pull away a lot of the Hispanic vote from Obama.
WHAT SAY YE, FREEPERS???
blah blah blah....no internals to see how skewed the representation is and 700 voters is a meaningless demographic. Polls will be going crazy between now and election day. The only poll that has a chance of counting is the one where you go and cast your ballot
If this nation reelects Barack Hussein Obama as President, we deserve what we get. Let the good times roll.
No. Not Jeb Bush, not Tony Bush, not Mary Bush. No. Never.
Of course since Obama will be running against Bush anyway again this year, I don't know if will do any additional damage to have a Bush on the ticket.
It didn't work for the Democrats in 1924 to put William Jennings Bryan's brother on the ticket. Of course Bryan himself had lost three times running for President.
And no Reggie Bush (he’s too young anyway).
