As officials warn of more Secret Service resignations as soon as Friday stemming from a prostitute scandal in Colombia, one of the former agents allegedly involved joked on Facebook that he checked out former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin while on assignment during the 2008 campaign.
David Chaney and Greg Stokes are the two Secret Service supervisors no longer with the agency in the wake of the incident immediately preceding President Barack Obama's trip to Colombia for the Summit of the Americas, a source familiar with the investigation told CNN National Security Contributor Fran Townsend on Thursday.
In a photo posted on his public Facebook page in January 2009, Chaney is seen standing behind Palin, wearing dark glasses and what appears be a wedding ring. Under the photo, Chaney posted a comment that said, "I was really checking her out, if you know what I mean?"

I was really checking her out, if you know what i mean, Chaney wrote in the comments under the shot.
In a Fox News interview last night, Palin said the joke is on Chaney. Well, check this out, buddy youre fired! she cracked.
I thought that was Thailand.
I’m unsure , these guys are the best of the best. Either way, Obama gets to get his special goons in now. Looks like the SS is getting dragged through the mud. Who knows how many “scandals” fake or not we’ll see in the next few months.
I don’t think you answered my question. If they did get drunk and hire hookers, then it’s good they got weeded out, right?
God, she’s priceless.
What is this guy’s IQ?
That was my first thought. Obama HAS to ‘get rid’ of the “good guys” in the Secret Service because they all have too much dirt on the guy, and Obama KNOWS it. I’d be questioning if these “Colombian prostitutes” were really prostitutes at all, and if this wasn’t all a set-up. Using temptation to lure them in specifically to compromise them... The men I’ve met (2) that were former secret service agents (or so they said) were NOT the kind of men (or so it seemed) that would fall for this “honey trap”.
I did answer your question, I said I’m unsure. Isn’t prostitution legal there? Besides the moral values, I could really care less. But I doubt 12 took part in this. If they were underage, then I wholeheartedly disagree.
This whole admin and congress are corrupt.
We got a biased fat dyke on SCOTUS, so that’s almost corrupt.
This second scandal though is sending up red flags. If there are more SS scandals, that seems to imply to me that Obama is getting his own personal army ready, and will cancel the elections with that new EO he signed awhile back. All the FEMA camps are ready.
My bad. You did answer it.
Nothing will induce me to read a CNN piece.
But trust the rag to do anything to link ‘disgraced’ (in this case outsted) and Sarah Palin any chance they get, even in headlines that insinuated some wrongdoings from SP.
Apparently the elite of the elite SS isn’t so great after all. Wait till these fired guys start writing books and talking about state secrets on TV. Think about it they let the little head think for the big head and how our enemies could have benefitted from these lapses. The party in Cartagena (animal house) is the tip of the iceberg. It’s hard to believe that the Obamas or their confidants did not know what was going on before this episode.
I was assigned to a Mobile Combat Comm unit, just before I arrived the unit did a deployment to Thailand. Before hitting the field they stayed over at hotel and a bunch of guys were picking up the local girls. some were bringing 2 and 3 back at a time. First Shirt and Commander would sit in the Lobby and watch them bring them in but said nothing. Then somehow a wife back in Okinawa caught wind and things heated up, then a couple wives got STDs when the guys got back home.
Ended up with a few Non Judicial Punishments.
Easily can happen to a poorly run outfit with a weak or complicit officers.
In this case sounds like the groups officers were central in the nocturnal activities. So why wouldn't the lower rank guys take advantage of a situation...
Problem is the focus is on the physical capabilities more than moral standards.
Second problem is in the pool to pull from, moral standards have eroded greatly over the years.
These are the guys that have been given a pass for breaking small rules growing up. Kind of like the “sports heroes” that get a pass in HS and College, then act like criminals and it catches up when they hit real life in the Pros.
It is better to get your hand smacked early on for the small stuff and be taught that the rules apply to everyone.
They just thought they were 10 feet tall and bulletproof and the rules did not apply to them. Not that complicated...
My Question: SO what was the President doing in his meetings that this scandal is designed to distract us from?
Any word on what Obama did there?
There is a continuum of liklihood that ranges from "impossible" to "certain". As you proceed from one of those points to the other, you run a gamut from "improbable," "unlikely", "possible", "more than likely", etc.
Given the exhaustive background screenings SS agents are supposed to undergo, one would have to operate under the assumptioni that the odds of any single agent screwing up like this were on the "less likely" end of that scale than the average person. When you take those lower odds and multiply it by 11 or 12 or whatever the number is now it seems extremely problematic. I don't think there's anybody saying it couldn't have played out just as it's being reported in the MSM, only that it's "hard to believe" that there isn't some other aspect of this that's not being reported.
I would not be surprised if I learned that Obama has a cocaine habit that is a continuation of his admission that he used it in one of his books. Why anyone would mention that in an autobiography is beyond stupid. Cocaine is one of the most addictive drugs in the world, and hard to break.
Allow me to interject...
It must not be a good thing because according to IamCenny, “these guys are the best of the best.”
Not any more, they’re not!
Wow....
I always wanted to be President. But with these guys protecting me, not so much. //sarcasm
What a shame.
What ever happened to “boys” who could keep their trousers zipped, and their mouths shut.
