Once again they came to chant and sing, and chant and sing they did. It was a typical sea of matching t-shirts—a favored strategy of intimidation—along with their placards of “solidarity” and profane signs. They scattered four giant inflatable rats throughout the crowd, with a gargantuan cardboard cut out of Governor Scott Walker standing out, as well.
Presidents of the AFL-CIO, Michael T. Carrigan of Illinois and Phil Neuenfeldt of Wisconsin, got the crowd riled up, along with the help ofTeresa Haley, President of the Springfield NAACP. But Pastor T. Ray McJunkins of the Union Baptist Church and President of the Faith Coalition for the Common Good and William McNary of USAction stole the show.
McJunkins delivered an energetic address he closed up metaphorically with the story of David and Goliath, ultimately declaring:
Excerpt, read the rest at Big GovernmentWe are the Davids …and you may be a big giant, a big goliath, but David had 5 smooth stones that brought Goliath down … all he had was stones and a sling shot, and I just wonder out there among us, how many of you came with your sling today? … Load your slings up today when we leave here, putting a smooth stone of equal rights at the collective bargaining table and throw it at Goliath … And Goliath will come down, Scott Walker we send you back to Wisconsin as David did Goliath, we cut your head off and go back into town, singing a new song!

The main speaker: McNary is a longtime ally of the Communist Party U.S.A. and President Obama.
Considering the rate at which businesses continue to flee tax-happy Illinois for Scott Walker’s Wisconsin, it is all too funny actually.
If Walker survives, that would be a major victory!
Can we assume the SS agent that went to talk to Ted Nugent is no on his way to have a chat with this guy?
No, because the Gov is a state official, not a federal one.
Ahh! Words of warning from a head union goon.
You can assume. And you’d be wrong.
Wisconsin needs to become a “right to work” State NOW...
An example to all the States around them..
The UNIONS have “stepped in it”.. the stink is smelled Nationally..
Another Progessive revealing the true nature of the Progressive Movement.
Remind me again about treating them with Christian Charity, and not thinking dark thoughts about alternate means of dealing with the Socialist Problem...
Union activity is an assault on the employment rate, profitability, and production, and tends to be destructive to the economy as a whole and average standard of living in the long run.
Those who become more shrill are losing the argument; that is a decent theory to go by. I think Walker will win the recall and hopefully the state, at least those sane enough to vote for him will keep all the crap generated by the lefty dems in mind when the vote in future elections.
Celebrate Civility, “Pastor”
This is the state that permitted Micky Mouse, Bugs Bunny and Donald Duck to sign the recall petition, without challenge.
Do you actually believe that this will be an "honest" election? Good luck with that...
I believe Walker was up by a few percent in a poll of likely voters recently....I guess Bugs is not likely to vote perhaps???
hmph rat costumes - my dad was given a job drywalling/painting at a site where a union was striking. He was an independent contractor.
There was a guy in a rat costume parading up and down with a sign that sat “rat fink” and the guy pointed at my dad when he arrived at work. Dad’s a really easy going guy and hadn’t had any issues with them - most of them knew him from other jobs....but the guy pointing at him and calling him a rat really ticked him off.
He nodded his head slow and headed in to work, in a few minutes he arrived back at the door rolling a huge can of D’con. Dad tapped the can and pointed at the costumed guy.
Had they not known him I could only imagine what would have happened. But the guys on the line all laughed and ribbed the rat guy until he took his ‘head’ off and acknowledged dad’s “deadly reply”.
Only story I’ve ever heard about my dad regarding unions. I only know it because of his work mate that day who still laughs about it. Dad could care less about union/non-union .... provided you did a good job.
I cannot believe how still amazed I get when they project their own beliefs upon us.
WE are the David (there was only 1)and they are the goliath...evil to the core.
