Row faster, Mainstream Media! Faster!
There are all kinds of polls out there, but except for a single outlier, even in polls that show Obama ahead of Romney, the President is still stuck in the mid-forties -- the last place any incumbent wants to be.
Today, Gallup's daily tracking poll gives the White House and Obama's Media Palace Guards another reason to gulp:
Romney 48%
Obama 43%
More bad news for Obama is that his challenger is already romantically close to that magic 50% number.
The bad news for us is that if these polls continue to show Obama in serious trouble, the media is going to absolutely freak out and start their salting-the-earth crusade early.

I’m not postulating any weird conspiracy. Polls generally get pushed and talked about in MSM to influence opinion. They are using crowd logic- if everyone thinks “x”, then I’m more inclined to think “x” too, and a poll is the major way I learn what “x” is.
“The Jeremiah Wright story would have sunk any candidate”
McCain never brought it up. The voting public has a short memory.
Hey, what do you think vote fraud is for? A few percentage points can be swept under the carpet. All that matters is who counts the votes. So relax.
The Bro’ Gotsta Go!
Okie dokie. You keep believing that. Eventually reality will hit you, but I know some people aren't ready to face it yet.
Looks like Free Republic needs to work harder. It’s early but increasing from 2 to 5 % in a day makes a Romney win seem more likely. That can’t be allowed to happen.
I believe that too. Don't vote, can't complain about who is in office.
Since this is coming from Gallup, it’s probably more like 60%-40%.
If the American people had an honest Media, it would be 95%-5% in favor of a retarted clam running against Obama.
Why do Romney boosters sound just like the Leftist Stasi,
‘you must vote like we say’.
What alleviates my headache is the idea of a Kenyan communist continuing to control our Soldiers and Marines.
Yeah, our military is much better off under Obama.
Good call.
Do you even know anyone in the military?
To little, too late.
Don’t feel like you need to change my mind. I don’t feel like I need to change yours.
Sorry... I meant “Too little, too late”
That’s white I think. I don’t say we won’t have to fight Romney on all the mushy liberal stuff, or even blatant liberal stuff. We’d have to fight Hiisein on all that too. But Hissein opens yet another front which Romney won’t-”get YT”. I don’t love or even like Rommey. Truthfully I despise him. But I can’t see fightimg him on all the things we’ll have to oppose Hissein on, plus Hissein’s added war on whites-and as you say, if he gets relected, the gloves come off. I wouldn’t put anything past him in his zeal to get back at whites for being a historically successful race. Taking our homes to give to the “disenfranchised blacks” isn’t beyond him in the second term, when all the brakes are off. South Africa’s ANC won’t have anything on him in his persecution of whites-just look at how brazen he and Holder have been with a second election to win.
Obama supports abortion, Romney is on record supporting abortion, Obama supports the homosexual agenda, Romney is on record supporting the homosexual agenda, Obama supports gun restrictions, Romney is on record supporting gun restrictions, Obama supports big government healthcare, Romney has supported big government healthcare. What’s the difference? I’m only going to concentrate on the Congressional races. As for the presidential race, I will punish the establishment GOP in November if Romney emerges as the nominee. The GOP better get it through their head that the base is largely not going to support Romney just like McCain and just like Dole. Not to mention there are 50 million Evangelicals out there who are not going to cast a vote for someone who believes he can become a god and rule other planets.
All I said was if you don’t vote, you can’t complain. Where did I say if you don’t for Romney, you can’t complain? I didn’t. Vote for Gingrich, Santorum, Palin, write them in, write in Palin. All I am saying is if you don’t vote, IMO, you can’t complain. (At least vote for a presidential candidate, preferably not Obama. I truly believe if people don’t vote for a presidential candidate, that gives Obama another chance for a second term. And America won’t be around in 2016 if that happens.)
Of course that's easy for me to say since I live in NJ which will go for Zero whether I vote for MittRhino or not. Quite honestly if I lived in a state where my vote actually mattered (VA, Fla, etc.) I might hold my nose and convince myself I was voting AGAINST Zero, not FOR MittRhino.
I will go vote for the rest of the ballot just like I always do. However, I couldn't bring myself to vote for John "I sell out conservatives for fun" McCain, and I can't justify a vote for Rombama on the same grounds.
Okie dokie. You keep believing that. Eventually reality will hit you, but I know some people aren't ready to face it yet.
Go on record, then. On what date do you think Mitt will reach his required delegate majority of 1,144?
The first chance we get to “fight” RINO Romney is at the ballot box.
What if the GOP officially said they’re changing their platform into a pro-choice platform? Would everyone here still vote GOP (not counting you libertards)? The logic you Romney supplicants are using would apply EVEN IF the GOP officially made their platform pro-choice. There are some issues where you have to be willing to hold other things hostage in order to get what you want. It’s not a strategy to say, “OK, fine, we’ll vote for you even if you give up that issue. We’ll just whine and moan and try to change your mind later, I guess, even as we fall into line behind you at the time when our opposition would REALLY carry some weight!”
Well, I’m not going to let them use the stealth method of picking a candidate who every informed voter knows, or soon will know, has stood on the wrong side of that issue among many others. They have said frequently they are trying to win “moderate” or “independent” voters over with this candidate. The point is to put up a candidate who does NOT represent conservative values to try to win those additional voters. To me that’s little different than officially changing the platform. They are sending the message that this candidate does not and will not stand for conservative values intentionally and for a purpose. Their strategy only works if conservative voters fall into line anyway like good little supplicants. My intention is for their strategy to fail.
Pretty much
Sorry. Please forgive my earlier posts. I thought I was talking to a rational being.
