When I was 12 years old, I used to play tennis at a certain public park in the Bronx. One day it got back to me that a black fellow at the courts, whose name I forget, said, "Selwyn doesn't like black people." This raised my eyebrows. You see, I had never really thought about the man one way or the other. And what occupied my mind were forehands, backhands, topspin, and volleys, not race. So the only thing I could figure was that I was probably in a funk one day and didn't hear and acknowledge a greeting he might have extended. Whatever the perceived slight, race was a factor. After all, imagine the reaction if he had been white. At worst, he might have thought, "Selwyn is a self-absorbed brat," which would have been closer to the truth. Or he might just have concluded that I was having a bad day (I was an aspiring player at the time but, lamentably, had a lot of bad days). Instead, he saw bad intentions where none existed.

Like 60% of Americans, I am of mixed race. One of my greatgrandmothers was colored. My father’s father was part Native American Indians.
Obama could do much to alleviate and educate Black Americans concerning the cause of most of their problems. But he won’t. Because he’s Barack Obama, the leftist, racial agitator and destroyer of civilized society. Telling Black Americans they’re the people responsible for their problems will lose him a lot of votes. Therefore, he won’t tell them the truth.
This writer is so ‘DEAD ON’ on his take of where and why things are where they are with the majority of black people in this country. It’s in the ‘mind-set’ propaganda being shoved into them by the race-baiters in their own community, including the illustrious race-baiting President that we have. He represents how the majority of black people think. Fortunately, there are some black people that do not believe this way on account that they actually rely on ‘reason’ to think for themselves, but (sadly) they are in the minority in my opinion.
Watch the video link I posted in #5.
Would you expect the next generation of Muslims to relinquish their grievances against Jews when anti-Semitism is taught in tens of thousands of madrassahs worldwide and presented as part of Islamic religion?
The author then makes a very apt comparison to the "hate whitey" industry in the US by observing:
Yet this "Jacksonizing" of youth is now endemic in the black community.......The result is that they view whites through colored glasses, seeing bad intentions and Caucasian conspiracies where none exist. Hey, that's just the way white people are.
I like the term "Jacksonizing". This should become part of our vocabulary.
I would cast my vote in favor of a new healthcare plan, all blacks will get equal rights with white people and rich white crackers will have to build a swimming pool for each and every black family.
He doesn't know the truth. He believes wholeheartedly in BLT and CRT! He is their poster child.
We need National Get Over It Day. All grievances will be aired for one day, then put it to rest. Everyone then continues to follow the same laws and hopefully a good moral code and pursue happiness and success which is NOT based on blame and anger toward someone else.
Bfl.
Spot on!
Yes. It was excellent! Glad to see stuff like this. It gives some hope that there still some reason out there with black folks.
I like this one cause I’ve heard it a million times growing up:
“A black man has no place in America”
and My response always was:
“If you believe that then why are you still here?”
The response was always stunned silence or some Marxist-based claptrap garbage quoted by my “accuser”. Nowadays it’s all about money and how much they can rip off “The Man” (A euphemism for “Whitey”).
It’s sad that for many black Americans there has been no progress at all in moving out of Poverty and despair. After nearly 50 years of anti-poverty programs we still have poverty and the same angry underclass. It makes you wonder if it is all done deliberately.
This has been the attitude of some of the “conservatives for reparations” crowd. Yes, they exist. Their mindset goes like this - “OK, fine, we’ll give each black person $X, then they’ll finally stop whining.”
Won’t happen.
‘bammers himself opposed the “one big check” idea, even though most of his supporters among blacks thought this was exactly what he was going to do. He favored perpetual on-going wealth transfers, because the point is NOT to redress any grievances, but to use those grievances to advance the power of the State.
My caring about “black grievance” is nil. They as a group are like the palistinian goons...if it isn’t one thing it is another. Who cares??? We all live in the most free country in the world. They are blessed as we all are. It is equal OPPORTUNITY...get off your butt and get to work to better you and yours. Stop griping incessantly. As I said...who cares?????
“Obama could do much to alleviate and educate Black Americans concerning the cause of most of their problems.”
And this is the great lost opportunity of the Obama presidency.
Esp. since he really IS a good example of what more black American men need to be: a loyal husband and a good father.
Esp. since he could talk about his own rather disrupted childhood, how not having his own father around was hurtful to him, and why he decided to do things differently.
(OK, I mean maybe Obama is really just some Manchurian candidate and he would have nothing to say on these subjects. I’ve never read, and would never read any of his books, maybe he did discuss some of these topics there. But just let me go on for the sake of argument.)
He went into office with a lot of goodwill from not only his supporters but many others who were willing to give him a chance. (Hey, not us on the hard right, but forget about us for a moment.)
He must have really seemed like a great hero to black americans (and I can’t blame any black person for thinking that way at that time).
He could really, really have done some good.
And he just didn’t even try to really lift up or encourage black people. He just did the worst of race pandering and plied his commie agenda.
So, now we are all much worse off and a unique opportunity is lost forever.
I’m convinced this is all because Obama doesn’t give a hoot about anybody but himself.
Help my fellow black americans? Hmmmmm, nope, I’d rather hit the links instead.
Obama had the chance to improve the plight of blacks in this country but he failed miserably and made the situation much worse.
Good for you! You can claim protected class status and demand reparations!
