Pretty low, even for Newt.
American Exceptionalism will be on the ascendency when President Newt Gingrich takes the oath in January 2013. He'll have the support of the Tea Party Rebellion and literally hundreds of thousands of FReepers. I can't wait for our country to be restored and for needless government regulations to be slashed by President Gingrich. And these absurd gasoline prices put in place by Obama will be a thing of the past in just a few more months when President Gingrich implements his plan to drill here and drill now.
I’d vote for Mitt before I’d vote for Gingrich.
ugh, perhaps his wife could pawn off some pearls.
Newt should get all of Santorums nominees.
Those that support Mitt are closet Obama worshippers.
Mitt Romney if elected will be a cheesy remake or “prequel” to the Obama movie.
How is that low? Sanatorum spent this weekend reviewing his stats and realized he was going to lose PA, where the voters know him for a fraud.
There’s no reason that Gingrich , who has always been courteous to Santorum, shouldn’t get some votes from this...well, except that most Santorum voters (who are conservative only in social areas) will vote for Romney .
You have my vote, Newt.
- A former Santorum supporter
Newt’s got me. ANYONE except Romney (or Paul).
I hope he can pick them up, but I’m not hopeful. I hate to say it, but scratch a Santorum supporter, and more often than not you will find a big government supporter more comfortable with a pro-abortion, pro-gay Romney than with a pro-life, pro-traditional marriage Newt.
I’m sorry to see Santorum leave, but now Newt is my guy and Santorum should endorse him and do whatever he can to support Newt.
Like hell. Not after what he pulled. His big ego split the vote in 5 states which, if Santorum won, would have changed this race dramatically. Those five states are Alaska, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, and Washington. This is not to mention the vote split helped Romney pick up delegates down South. This would have killed Romney’s momentum, and Santorum could have been frontrunner. Newt still had a chance to save things; when things started to pick up for Romney the past few weeks, he could dropped out and supported Santorum and urged his delegates to support Santorum, likely giving him Wisconsin. No, Newt hung in there in debt, visiting zoos and museums, all but saying that Romney is the inevitable nominee recently. He put his ego and fantasy hopes for a brokered convention ahead of stopping Mitt Romney. I got the feeling from him that if he couldn’t get it, Santorum couldn’t either. We had a chance at stopping Romney, and he was a factor in why we couldn’t. Now Santorum has suspended his campaign, and Newt is thrilled because he can now call himself the conservative alternative? Forget it. I don’t like him (I used to), and I don’t like Romney. I’m still debating whether I’ll hold my nose for Romney to stop Obama.
Consider me absorbed.

Newt-be-wan Kenobi is our only hope. Can he still channel The Force?
Forget it, Newt. It’s over.
Had you ended your campaign weeks ago and thrown your support behind Santorum, there’d still be a chance of taking down Romney, but that chance is gone, and with it, any hope of winning in November.
