To hell with the GOP-e. Barring a miracle, they got their big government, unconstitutional mandate loving, socialist abortionist Obama-lite RINO on the ballot, they can now get him elected.
We are the resistance!!
Shove him down our throats today, we shove him up your donkeys in November!!
I can see November from my house!!

In other words, the RNC could run Obama and you would vote for him just because he is a Republican. That about sums up what the Dg
OPe think of us.

I agree. This is not an election we can afford to throw away by sitting it out.I respect Jim but I think This is wrongheaded. We cannot afford another 4 years of Obama.

A vote for X is a vote for X and a vote for Y is a vote for Y and a vote for Z is a vote for Z.
Romney is too liberal to get my vote. Plus with the GOP denying half the population a say in the primary, I will take my vote elsewhere.

The Senate approves SCOTUS nominees. The president appoints, but the Senate approves.
A Republican Senate could (in theory at least) pressure a president Romney to choose moderate SCOTUS nominees. I’m not so naive to expect conservatives, but he could be pressured to pick moderates.
Obama on the other hand will pick a straight communist. A Republican Senate would reject him, but then have to take the 2nd or 3rd choice. They won’t fight him forever. ALL of Obama’s nominees will be solid card-carrying red-diaper communists. Bank on it.
So yes, I will take Romney with some small chance the whore can be bribed or bullied into nominating moderates, over a principalled Marxist Muslim like Obama, who will stand firm on communist after communist.
Yes.
To: JCBreckenridge
Oh and I do agree with you that the GOP needs to die. I just don’t agree on the timing. We can’t do that while a sitting radical communist is in the White House. We need to get rid of him first, then kill the GOP.

Well, sir, you can vote for whomever you want! Your prerogative! But, a vote for a third party or a write-in is the same as a vote FOR Bowbama! Your choice...
Boy did you get that wrong.
Your support and vote for Romney is a defacto vote for Obama.
The only thing inevitable about Romney is that if he is the nominee, he is the only candidate that guarantees an Obama re-election.
Obama and the Media will use his left-wing, Progessive Liberal record to totally decimate Romney and beat him over the head 24/7 with his record until the election and in so doing will turn Romney's candidacy into a bloody pulp.
For proof, I present a small portion of the horrible record of Mitt Romney:
1. Implemented/created Gay Marriage in MA
2. Supported and forced Gay Adoption in MA
3. Supported Abortion wholeheartedly
4. Raised taxes/fees over 300% while being Governor of MA
5. Implemented a state-level Cap and Trade system.
6. Supported Man-Made Global Warming
7. Supported the Brady Bill
8. Implemented a state level "Assault" Weapons Bill after the Federal AWB was allowed to expire
9. Supported TARP
10. Supported Amnesty for Illegal Aliens (Citizenship for those already here)
11. Supported McCain-Kennedy(Amenesty)
12. Implemented a socialized medicine in MA called RomneyCare complete with an Individual Mandate and $50 abortions
13. Nominated 27 Democrats (out of 36 nominations) for judgeships in MA, many of them extreme left-wingers

Its been increasingly and reluctantly painfully clear the last few years, that the SElections have been a charade far longer than I ever wanted to admit even to myself. I have been singing this song since before Dole, glad to see I am not alone.

a vote for a third party or a write-in is the same as a vote FOR Bowbama! Few are buying that scurrilous lie any more.
"Impress upon children the truth that the exercise of the elective franchise is a social duty of as solemn a nature as man can be called to perform; that a man may not innocently trifle with his vote; that every elector is a trustee as well for others as himself and that every measure he supports has an important bearing on the interests of others as well as on his own. " -- Daniel Webster
Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.
-- John Quincy Adams
"Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual--or at least that he ought not so to do; but that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country."

Time will tell. Hey, I'm with you. It sucks. Big Time (God Bless VP Cheney). All we can do at this point, IMHO, is (1) hope for a good VP a la Sarah; and, (2) elect conservative Reps and Senators to keep Romney in line and to his promises (I know, I know) as best as possible. He won't be as bad--by any stretch--as the lazy, dumb, Marxist, Islamist supporting piece of garbage in there now. I'm think I'm gonna be pretty scarce around here for a while until the VP thing shakes out. It does suck though. Who woulda thunk it. ~sigh~.
Take care.

Exactly. Romney was the absolute worst candidate. He is also a caricature of Republican out of Hollywood, puts the dog on the roof, big time new mansion while running for office, “I’m not worried about the poor”... I think a leftwing Hollywood Hack is writing his script.

The reason I don't buy that is because romney will not have a mandate to govern from the left. If you look at the exit polls, he has won conservative, tea party support and "anybody but obama support. He knows the country wants an alternative to obama and if he's going to beat him, he has to run to the right. The people can keep him in check for four years and primary him if necessary. There's no keeping obama in check. Romney will buy us time.
Your believing the words and lies of a liar.
His actual record says the exact opposite of your hopes.
You're living on Hope just like the people who voted for Obama.
I understand the emotion, but his record tells me, and it should be telling you, that their is a high probability that if Romney were to win, he would govern exactly how he did in MA, saying one thing (conservative) while doing the exact opposite.
Besides which, he doesn't have a chance in hell of winning.

POS Mitt doesn’t know right from left - that’s how dumb that empty suit is!
To: itsahoot
INDEED.
He was certainly an obvious jury rigged deliberate ploy throwing the SElection to the other guy.
Why do so few conservatives seem to be awake or really face such realities???
