It was a fable for our times:
Once upon a time, a nice young man set off from his dad's fiancée's home before the NBA All-Star game to buy some Skittles and Arizona Tea for his stepbrother. Although the lad was seventeen, he looked like a cute twelve-year-old. Along came a burly ex-con racist vigilante who didn't like the idea of a young African-American male walking around his gated community at night. The cop-wannabe stalked the frightened boy, cornered him, and then shot him. But the racist police didn't arrest the murderer. The conscience of the nation was stirred. Protests erupted from coast to coast. The gunning down of young, unarmed black males by white Rambos -- and the occasional "white Hispanic" -- is an all-too-common occurrence in the US of A.
Now the MSM narrative is unraveling, thanks to Al Gore's nifty invention, the internet. The average MSNBC viewer may not have the smarts and curiosity to do a Google search, but other people do. A lot of the searches wind up at the sites of the Orlando Sentinel and the city's Fox affiliate, Channel 35, both of which have provided good coverage.
Now other local papers are running stories about the "complexity" of the case.
We've learned a little more about Trayvon Martin. Since his record of suspensions and his posts and pictures, with tats and grill, from his Myspace and Twitter accounts surfaced on the web, columnists are less likely to enthuse about him, as a WaPo blogger did on March 18:
By all accounts, Trayvon was a good kid[.] ... He had dreams of becoming a pilot. He was good at math. ... Trayvon's English teacher described him "as an A and B student who majored in cheerfulness."
"So what?" the left responds....

Thanks to the race baiters mainly Jessie & Al who marched in and made stupid statements without one ounce of proof (Ala Towanda Browley and others).
Now the well is poisoned and if it turns out Mr. Zimmerman was telling the truth all along I am afraid all hell will break loose.
A group marched just yesterday for 3 days and said they would now go for civil disobedience. It is clear they will accept nothing but a trial and conviction for Mr. Zimmerman.

Find an old Black vs White (they missed the Hispanic angle but that's OK-we now have "White Hispanics" to count next census) story to stir of racist passions in the black Left thus increasing black hate crimes against whites—knowing full well that by the time the truth comes out the racist demagoguery and unjust accusations of racism in innocent whites will cause righteous umbrage in many white folk and push some of the more unbalanced into racist acts of their own—thus stoking the fires of a race war, a race war the Obama campaign actually believes will help their Mendacious Marxist win reelection.

Precisely. Many of us here are quite typical. We’re peace-loving conservatives, but by God we are armed and WILL defend ourselves, our loved ones, and our property. We have the means and the will to do so.
These urban morons may not think of that, but God help the ones who don’t.
That would require both initiative and fore thought. Given what has happened in the past there may be some damages to the suburbs, but not much of any significance

Most of that was punitive damages, and what the press didn't emphasis in reporting was that the punitive damages award was reversed.
