The Republican backlash against President Barack Obamas health care-SCOTUS remarks shows no sign of subsiding.
In a noon speech today to the Rotary Club of Lexington, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell continued the GOP counteroffensive, telling the president to back off the Supreme Court.
The President crossed a dangerous line this week. And anyone who cares about liberty needs to call him out on it. The independence of the Court must be defended, McConnell (R-Ky.) said, according to the prepared text of his speech released by his office. "So respectfully, I would suggest the President back off. Let the Court do its work.

Obama predicted Monday that the High Court would uphold the Democratic health care law. Repealing it, the president said during a Rose Garden news conference, would amount to judicial activism on an unprecedented, extraordinary scale.

Thanks very much EaaB. I had not seen these comments before. They are reassuring.
If a Republican president had made such a remark, or even a similar remark dialed back 20dB, the screeching from the opposition would be echoing off the moon. The MSM would be going out of its mind.

"Regardless of how the justices decide this case, they're answerable, above all, to the Constitution they swore to uphold," he said. "The fact that this president does not appear to feel similarly constrained to respect their independence doesn't change that one bit. McConnell has got a lot of nerve. He swore the same oath and he's letting a usurper loot the treasury, murder citizens (Brian Terry and ROE that kill our military members) and altogether destroy our country. Treasonous aiding and abetting.

One can dream. As this current situation gets resolved ALL of these anti-American criminals and their enablers need to be tried and, if convicted, sitting in Leavenworth for the rest of their worthless lives. Maybe the resolution won’t be so friendly. Time will tell.
