The Republican backlash against President Barack Obamas health care-SCOTUS remarks shows no sign of subsiding.
In a noon speech today to the Rotary Club of Lexington, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell continued the GOP counteroffensive, telling the president to back off the Supreme Court.
The President crossed a dangerous line this week. And anyone who cares about liberty needs to call him out on it. The independence of the Court must be defended, McConnell (R-Ky.) said, according to the prepared text of his speech released by his office. "So respectfully, I would suggest the President back off. Let the Court do its work.

Obama predicted Monday that the High Court would uphold the Democratic health care law. Repealing it, the president said during a Rose Garden news conference, would amount to judicial activism on an unprecedented, extraordinary scale.

And three days later, the turkey gobbler chimes in...
Gee, McConnell has a pulse! Alert the wire services!
Shut up, Mitch, let him go on... I love it when Obummer sticks it to himself.
The GOP lis still playimg a nice gentlemanly leisurely game of checkers while Hussien is playing “The Hunger Games”.
Hey Mitch....have you guys ever thought about Articles of Impeachment? Gross abuse of power?
No, watching the House Repubs is like watching a bunch of surgeons standing around a dying patient with a removable cancer just lay there and die. RIP America.
Obama administration heeds judges' health care order - Link to letter
Apparently one of the Simpsons called Obama (Soto or Kagan) and secretly told Obama that Obama-Care is going down like the titanic.
(CNN) -- The Justice Department obeyed a federal appeals court's unusual order Thursday in a legal and political spat over the health care law championed by President Barack Obama.
Administration lawyers met their deadline and filed a three-page, single-spaced letter -- following the specific instructions of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which is hearing a challenge to the health care law. The letter affirmed the government's stance that federal courts indeed have the authority to decide the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act -- and any other law Congress passes.
All is forgiven once budget talks begin.
Holder did not do what the judges asked. He was asked to reference in detail what Obama said and he did not do that.
its not possible to see SCOTUS without thinking scrotum...or maybe thats just me
Good grief. Finally, one of our august Republican elected officials decides to favor us with a rare comment on one of the endless parade of Obama outrages.
Thanks a lot Mitch. Nice to know you’re earning your salary.
” “So respectfully, I would suggest the President back off. Let the Court do its work.”
RESPECTFULLY?
You stinking coward, McConnell!!
Where have YOU been while our country is destroyed??
MConnell is worthless. All he does is make comments once in a while instead of getting dirty in the trenches and daily hammering the democrat leadership with facts — from the Senate to Obama.
Did he also tell Obama if he did not back off, he would hold his breath till he turned blue?
Now, that’s as funny as it is true! IYou have really nailed it.
Well, McConnell is from the blue grass State so it makes perfect sense.
