BOSTON, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) announced his endorsement of Governor Mitt Romney. Senator Santorum served two terms in the United States Senate where he was also Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, the third-ranking member of the Republican leadership.

“I imagine he was in the tank for Obama because both he and the Romney campaign were out to sabotage McCain/Palin so that Romney would get another chance in 2012.”
I look for them to run a joint ticket in the general, with Santorum as the beta male.
4 year old endorsement.. hoooo boy.
anything for hits, I guess.
In other breaking news from 1999, Matt Drudge, creator of the successful online website, The Drudge Report, was seen kissing a man outside a gay bar in Washington DC.
What’s good for the goose is good for the gander...Santorum pushes the fact that Newt previously was in favor of federal mandates for healthcare and therefore is not credible on the issues of repealing Obamneycare....well Ricky last I knew RomneyCare was passed before you endorsed Romney!
why anyone bothers with Drudge, Coulter, Hannity is beyond me.
The three of them are establishment figures while Drudge has homo crush on Romney too.
If conservatives stopped with them then their power will diminish but of course that’s never going to happen, heck we have people calling themselves evangelicals or Catholics who endorse and vote for Romney or so people calling themselves republicans who say they have no problem with the homo agenda, cross dressing etc
He absolutley has jumped the shark. He is all in Romney (Metaphorically speaking...)
It is absolutely disgusting that Rove and he have hijacked our primary one candidate at a time.
What a sad commentary on the ineptitude of the GOP in 2008 that they nominated a disaster in McLame that actually made Romney appear conservative by comparison.

Drudge: I Do Not Love Sex With Men
4/6/2009
Drudge has never been said to particularly relish his homosexuality or embrace it; in fact his gay romantic/sexual side has been described (when alleged) as conflicted and awkward.
David Brock, the former right-wing writer, wrote in his memoir Blinded by the Right about a scary date in which Drudge, after bringing Brock flowers and navigating the Santa Monica gay strip like a pro, stepped on a competing suitors foot really hard (in Drudges purported words) in a nightclub to scare him away from Brock.
Alec Baldwin stated that Drudge made an advance on him in an ABC Studios hallway, a proposition that had kind of a creepy quality to it.
Drudge denied he was gay to the Miami New Times in 2001, even as he launched into a disquisition on (as the New Times put it) the reigning DJ king of gay circuit parties and summarized his nightlife thusly: I go to straight bars, I go to gay bars.
He’s referencing an ad from Romney with video of Santorum endorsing him as the conservative candidate in the 2008 race and encouraging everyone to vote for Mitt.
The ad ends with Mitt Romney’s voice over: “And I approve this message”.
Like it or not, it’s a clever use of documented history.
In what way? Care to elaborate?
Drudge is a homo, figures his perversion will do better under Romney.
But it’s not news. Romney has been talking about this endorsement for weeks if not months, including mentioning it in the debate. Santorum’s been asked about it on the talk shows. People have been pasting the graphic of Santorum’s endorsement quote from Meet the Press here for weeks. So is Drudge a news site or a site that publishes perfectly timed Romney ads despite them being full of old information and no news?
Drudge is just trolling now.
But Dana Perino on The Five said a couple of weeks ago that she did not think Drudge was in the tank for Romney. How can she be wrong?
Lighten up. I’m not saying it’s news.
I was just pointing out that Drudge’s link takes one to a political ad by Romney which uses Rick Santorum’s video from 2008 calling Mitt Romney the true conservative in the race and asking everyone to vote for him.
End of video is the required Romney voice over for political ads: “And I approve this message”.
Hate the message and the messenger. Still clever.
Yeah, and “Romney Endorses Rockefeller” (17,534 Days Ago)
So, instead of saying 4 years ago, Drudge says 1504 days ago? I guess Matt Drudge thought “days” would sound more recent?
Drudge, you are pathetic...I don’t care what Mark Levin says!
FUMD!
That’s true, but not every GOPer went to the trouble of personally campaigning for Mitt. Bless his heart, Santorum does go all out when he decides he’s for or against something, doesn’t he? He would have been so much better off to say, like Mark Levin, “If I was voting today, I’d vote for Mitt” or something along those lines.
