He’s referencing an ad from Romney with video of Santorum endorsing him as the conservative candidate in the 2008 race and encouraging everyone to vote for Mitt.

The ad ends with Mitt Romney’s voice over: “And I approve this message”.

Like it or not, it’s a clever use of documented history.

But it’s not news. Romney has been talking about this endorsement for weeks if not months, including mentioning it in the debate. Santorum’s been asked about it on the talk shows. People have been pasting the graphic of Santorum’s endorsement quote from Meet the Press here for weeks. So is Drudge a news site or a site that publishes perfectly timed Romney ads despite them being full of old information and no news?

While it may be clever for Romney to use it in a commercial. It is disingenuous for Drudge to tout it again and in such a front page blazing way. This is old news even in this campaign cycle. Drudge's portrayal is a blatant shill job for Romney.
