Would you vote for Romney?

I have seen a lot of FReepers state that they would NEVER cast a vote for Romney. That is my gut reaction as well. Mitt is on record saying that I will vote for him eventually. His arrogance makes me want to prove him wrong and write in a candidate. But I fear that will lead to 4 more years of Obama. Until I stare at the ballot in November, I don't know for sure what I will do. If it is a choice between Obama and Romney, what will you do?

Vote conservative undercard, write-in or third party for President.

There will be no more automatic Republican vote for President from me. There will, however, be a conservative vote.

I have voted Republican since 1976 and was not completely happy with Ford. I will NOT vote for Romney even if Gingrich were on the ticket as VP. I am tired of being forced to compromise due to the GOP elite. I can honestly state the ONLY Republican nominee I enthusiastically supported was Reagan who they did not support.
Crudely stated, I am tired of their crap.

Without hesitation. Romney is no true conservative, but those that say there is no difference between him and Obama are being intellectually dishonest. Even if he doesn’t follow through, Romney is campaigning on opening up oil drilling and repealing Obamacare (yes, I know), across the board tax cuts, fewer regulations. Does that sound like Obama? And if he breaks his promises, then a (hopefully) Republican House and Senate can do some arm-twisting. Not so with Obama. Plus, he’s a successful business man who knows how to run more than, well, the nothing that Obama has run. While I don’t personally believe that Mormons are Christians, at least they aren’t muslims. And I believe Romney actually cares about America. In fact, any average citizen, including Romney, has more love of America in their pinky than all of our current White House residents. I voted for Gingrich in the primary and Romney is in the bottom two of the whole eight or so that were ever in the running. But, yeah, I will vote for him in the general if he gets the nomination against Obama and be proud that I voted for an American over the Kenyan Marxist usurper we currently have.

It’s not a fear that wasting your vote will reelect Obama, it’s a certainty.

The nominee is not selected, there is a wide open field. If you don’t want Romney work like heck to get Newt or Rick nominated. After the convention, work like heck to defeat Obama.

No, I will not. I have been saying this since 2007 at least, so it should be no surprise. I’m done voting for liberals, regardless of party, and if the GOP insists on foisting one on us, it’s their funeral.

I will swallow my bile and vote for Mittens if I have to. Obama for another term is not a viable option. There’s far, far too much potential for damage (especially considering SCOTUS).

It is should be pretty clear that I would not be pleased to have to, nor will I lift a finger to help him beyond voting. He will get no money, no time, no nothing.

If the election were held today (and it will not be), I would vote third party. I have been told Romney is so electable that I do not believe he needs my vote.

I also think if he is treating what should be his prime constituents this condescendingly now, it would only be worse agfter he is elected.

If Obama wins by one vote I will take the blame.

I also think that with Obamacare being a very unpopular issue (I believe both Prohibition and the Fugitive Slave Act received more “bipartisan” support than did Obamacare), there is something very, very wrong when the Republican establishment seeks to nominate the one national Republican who was more supportive of the policies behind Obamacare than any other Republican. It seems like we are in deep trouble.

Perhaps I am only “pouting” now, but these are my thoughts.

What better way for all the Clinton backers and the unaccountable Federal government, to hoist their MassachusettsMandate Federal candidate, and begin implementation of Arbeitsziehungslager, Forced Federal Work Camp 2014.

They get their Forced Federal Labor Camp, the entire U.S. Territory, and get rid of the UnDocumented, who should be “serving them coffee.” “No blame to them,” their off the hook plan.

The real dorks are those who say they would not vote for Romney under any circumstances. I’m not a Romney fan, but anyone who would not vote for him if he is the nominee has his head securely fixated where the sun don’t shine.

Living in MA, I’ll vote for Romney and Scott Brown. Romney and Brown are only 50% Republicans, but that’s better than 100% leftists like Obama and Elizabeth Warren.

If only Romney were a 50% Republican. If you look at his judicial appointees in MA, he's more like a 20% Republican. A vote for Romney is a vote for the left-wing conquest of the GOP. He will never get a vote out of me.

I can not, will not, vote for Romney.

My state will likely go red anyway, but I will not help it do so if Romney is the nominee.

I hate McCain more than Romney because I saw McCain as a saboteur of conservatism who loved more the praise of the liberal media than love of his party or his country (and I still feel that way). Romney offends me only in the sense that he's unprincipled except, possibly, in financial matters. He flip-flops on issues any true conservative should hold fast to.

I say all this because I live in a large conservative state which I knew would choose McCain in the general back in 2008 regardless of how I voted so I voted for the Constitution Party candidate because I detested McCain. However, if I lived in a bellweather state that could break either way, I probably would have forced myself to vote for McCain (by pretending I was voting for Palin).

I'll vote for Romney if he's the nominee because voting for anything that re-elects Obama borders on treason. However, if you live in a state that is strongly red or blue, you can skip that and vote your conscience. If you detest Romney the way I detested McCain, that's how I would approach your vote.

No, not under any circumstances. The man is a CULT leader, a RINO and totally untrustworthy. You cannot trust any position he says he supports or stands on because he will change his position in a heartbeat if it suits his purpose and benefits him. This was how he governed in MA when he was in charge.

As for being a CULT leader, when he was in MA he was the highest ranking Mormon in the state, holding a rank in the cult equal to that of a Cardinal in the RC church. It is impossible for me to vote for a man who believes with all his heart that he is going to become the "god' of his own planet on par with the Lord Jesus Christ and that his wife is going to perpetually pump out "spirit children" like the queen alien in the movie Aliens and that the sole purpose of these so-called "spirit children" will be to populate god Romney's planet in order to WORSHIP and SERVE "god mit" for all of eternity! This is what this clown and his wife believes and this belief totally colors what he thinks of himself, others and how he lives his life! To place Romney in a position of authority over the entire United States would be unconscionable and before Almighty God, my family and I can not and will not vote for him, under any circumstances.

Right now I can see no way I would vote for Romney.

However, if he picks a VERY CONSERVATIVE running mate, and IF the platform is a solid Republican platform - in that case I might hold my nose, vote for him and then hope for a stroke, heart attack or otherwise debilitating illness to remove him from office.
