Gov. Jan Brewer wants Barack Obama out of the White House.
But she said Tuesday its not because she believes the findings last week by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio that his birth certificate appears to be a fake.
I have every reason to believe that his birth certificate is valid in the state of Hawaii, the governor said.
Brewer acknowledged that, unlike the sheriff, she has not done extensive research.
But the governor said she had spoken several years ago to her Hawaiian counterpart when the issue first arose. And she said Tuesday that he assured me that everything was in proper order and they stand by their records that he was born in Hawaii.
Arpaio sniffed at the governors comments.
Thats the governors opinion, he said. And I have my opinion, plus facts.
Those facts, Arpaio said, stem from what he said was a forensic analysis of an electronic copy of the presidents birth certificate posted on the White House web site.

Arpaio sniffed at the governors comments.
Thats the governors opinion, he said. And I have my opinion, plus facts.
And Arpaio said the assurances of Hawaiis former governor, Linda Lingle, to Brewer are irrelevant.

Actually, Governor Lingle was in Hawaii when obama was supposed to have been vetted, so she has a lot more to lose if the COLB is fake, and there is not a real one.
However, the new governor disagrees:

Too bad Palin hasn’t spoken up for Arpaio. So much for not being shackled anymore.

Is Governor Brewer a cop or trained in law enforcement, trained in detecting fraud, or a forgery expert?
To: Smokeyblue
As former SOS of Arizona, Brewer put Obama on the 2008 ballot.
To: Smokeyblue
I wish Brewer would share with us the specific documents she has seen.
As Sheriff Joe says, he has facts. Brewer, not so much.

Brewer is turning out to be a real nut case.
To: Smokeyblue
Listen carefully to what she said:
I have every reason to believe that his birth certificate is valid in the state of Hawaii, the governor said.
As those of us who have followed this topic have seen, just about anything goes and is valid in the state of Hawaii - even undisputed foreign births.
To continue:
But the governor said she had spoken several years ago to her Hawaiian counterpart when the issue first arose. And she said Tuesday that he assured me that everything was in proper order and they stand by their records that he was born in Hawaii.
"He" wouldn't be Linda Lingle but would be the hippie-dippy who was going to find and reveal O's birth certificate - only to find that it didn't exist.
She just may be setting something - or someone - up.
To: Smokeyblue
Let us see Governer Jan Brewer prove what she says. I saw Sheriff Joe prove what he said. She says she believes. Let us see the proof. When they show me, I will believe.
Come on Governer! show us.
To: Smokeyblue
I have every reason to believe that his birth certificate is valid in the state of Hawaii." Maybe she could share some of those reasons with those of us concerned and fearful Americans?

Notice Brewer doesn’t mention the Selective Service record.

Wow. Arpaio claims to know these facts but refuses to do anything about it?
Man, he must be pretty deep in Obama’s pocket.
Or he's a serious coward.
Why do you suppose he is completely impotent on the matter?

I didn't realize Brewer was SOS of Arizona. So she was probably referring to the SOS of Hawaii when she spoke of her "counterpart".
That makes it even more likely to me that she's either setting them up - or covering her own tail as former SOS. Anyone who's followed this saga at all knows that there has been an awful lot of suspicious behavior/activity from the Hawaii SOS office.
To: Smokeyblue
No, she didn't.
By the way, I had hoped Sheriff Arpaio would address the Social Security number on the Selective Service form. Any thoughts on why he didn't?
