As those of us who have followed this topic have seen, just about anything goes and is valid in the state of Hawaii - even undisputed foreign births.

But the governor said she had spoken several years ago to her Hawaiian counterpart when the issue first arose. And she said Tuesday that he assured me that everything was in proper order and they stand by their records that he was born in Hawaii.
"He" wouldn't be Linda Lingle but would be the hippie-dippy who was going to find and reveal O's birth certificate - only to find that it didn't exist.
She just may be setting something - or someone - up.

Did the Gov. of Hawaii violate Hawaiian law?
§338-18 Disclosure of records. (a) To protect the integrity of vital statistics records, to ensure their proper use, and to ensure the efficient and proper administration of the vital statistics system, it shall be unlawful for any person to permit inspection of, or to disclose information contained in vital statistics records, or to copy or issue a copy of all or part of any such record, except as authorized by this part or by rules adopted by the department of health.
