Who might the GOP lose if their guy is not the nominee?

Does anybody-but-Obama trump all?

GOP will unite—

GOP perhaps; but not conservatives if it’s Romney.

I’m sorry, but if the GOP Nominee is Mitt “Progressive Liberal” Romney there will be uniting.

Maybe uniting around a third party candidate, but principled conservatives will not be voting for Mitt Romney

I don't even want to think about Romney winning the nomination right now. That said, coming from a military family Newt realizes he has a responsibility to the troops in the field. I have come to the same realization in the past couple of weeks. Obama has proven he is reckless enough to CAUSE our military personnel in Afghanistan to be killed.

I will not condemn those who refuse to vote for Romney; however, as for myself, if it comes to that I cannot be a party to leaving our troops in a war zone w/Obama as their Commander in Chief.

If Romney puts Santorum or Gingrich on the ticket he might get conservatives in. Even then, I doubt the Gingrich crowd will come in if it's Santorum. If he picks someone else, and gets endorsements from both, that won't fly. He'll fail worse than McCain.

I will vote for the nominee even it’s Mr. Magoo or Charlie Sheen. If it’s Mittens, I’ll vote for him. I won’t like it. I may need a three day shower and gallon of cheap whisky to get the smell and taste of disappointment off me but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Getting rid of The One is that important. Besides, could he do any worse?

It is voting the party-line BS that has gotten us into this mess, into this soft tyranny, dominated by progressives and RINO’s.

Those RINOs got there through party-line voting and they will continue to ‘get there,’ until we figure out WE are the one’s putting into office those who WILL TRADE AWAY OUR FREEDOM.

The RINO is worse than voting for the democrat, the RINO is a sneak, liar, and horse-trader of Rights that are not his to barter with the devil with.

One out right takes our Rights and the other willing trades them away.

And you all sit there behind your keyboards acting all high and mighty holding your noses pulling levers and casting votes as if they actually matter.

This GOPer will unite behind Gingrich or Santorum.

The GOP establishment needs to get this into their heads. Many in the GOP will no longer blindly follow the wishes of the NRC. They now vote their values.

Newt, Santorum, Palin, whoever, will unite behind the nominee.

Just watch. Can’t prove it now, but you will see it is so eventually. LOL

ABO, conservatives had their chance but failed to support conservative candidates without baggage and push them for a win. Instead we trashed our own looking for the perfect which does not exist. Nobody can pretend they are pure and perfect, those folks decided they were not even going to try.

Food for thought.

GeeOpie, think again.

We need more Tea on capital hill - enough to scald the feathers off of any party parrot who happens to land in the White Hut; and KEEP ON IMPEACHING their Quisling RAT/RINO arses until we get an American POTUS again.

I hate to even think about it.

I do know that my hatred for Obama is much stronger than my disapproval of Romney.

Not sure what I’d do.

The problem I see, is not that the other candidates won’t fall in line and back the nominee, but that the ugly, drawn-out primary might have suppressed voter enthusiasm too much. The potential nominees we have left all have some flaws, but more than that, they all had their image tarnished by the process, so a lot of Republicans just can’t get excited about any of them anymore.

I’ll probably end up voting “anybody-but-Obama”, but the eventual nominee is really going to have to turn on Obama immediately, and hit him on the issues that count if they want the party to get fired up about voting for him.

The GOP lap dogs and talking heads will, but not Conservative voters. Don’t believe us? Nominate Romney and see for yourself.

If Obama wasn’t the incumbent Romney would have run as a Dem.

Maybe I could suck it up and vote for Romney, but he won't even recant Romneycare. He won't even say it was wrong on principle. When I think about that, I just think really on a fundamental issue like that he isn't any different than Obama. That thought will cross the minds of a great many voters out there in November, and Romney will lose.

Sorry, no vote for mittens. If that means the US gets another 4 years of barry, then heck, we deserve what we get.

Perhaps we the silent majority “woke up” a little too late.

I don’t like what I believe is coming down the road. A FReeper in another thread said we are already in the 2nd American Civil War....economics and the media.

The next step will be an ugly one....but one we must take.
