For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke.
I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit?In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone's bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level.
My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.
That is your misguided perception. Nothing I said gives that impression - its all in your warped thinking.
We have a complaint now, and there is always Monday.
@310 - And now we all know the real reason why there is no discussion about the eligibility issue or the ballot challenges.
I admire the desire to stay on the air and keep listeners informed, but where do people draw the line and say...
"Go ahead and drop me. You're the one that is going to lose customers in the end, not me. My listeners will still be here and other companies will buy your ad time."
You @rake me over the coals for basically saying the same thing and now you're saying it too only in a slightly different manner.
Beck refused to stop covering issues he wanted to talk about so he left rather than remain silent and be held captive by the hands of his sponsors.
You're colored hypocrisy.
When are we going to go after Bill Maher, Ed Schultz and Keith Olberman? Why do they get off the hook?
Those hacks can’t hold a candle to Rush. Do you think Sarah would even answer the phone if one of them were calling her?? Sarah didn’t mind, She just would not waste her time with such disgusting dunces.
I don’t know if I agree he stepped in it, I want to see how the rest of this plays out first.
If anyone can turn this around, Rush can.
Totally agree with the rest of your post.
Well, the good thing is, the next time there’s an important issue to conservatives, we can rely on Rush to come out and....um.. apologize
if it doesnt ring of obvious sarc, then its going to be read loud and clear by the commies as a surrender, which it is...
now if he had said he used the wrong wording, and the correct term is "whore", then it wouldve been a slapdown...
Rush should apologize to Conservatives on the air. Nah, it’s just easier to CAVE to Liberals.
No, we don't.
Rush conceded that by apologizing.
For a man who claims to know liberals like “every square inch of [his] glorious naked body” he sure blew it here. Good grief, my skin crawled when I read his apology (read: cave).
I was just speaking with a friend at work about how great Rush’s take on this slut was. I was eagerly anticipating Mondays show. Not any more. I don’t think i have the stomach to listen to Rush try and tap dance his way around his CAVE!
All of you tut-tutting hens who want to sit around and cluck about how spineless is Rush ... I wonder how many of you will write to the CEO of the following former Rush sponsors and assure the managers of the respective companies that you will never buy one of their products again, including one whose products are popular this time of year, and that furthermore you will endeavor to convince your friends to cease buying their products, in perpetuity, to wit:
Quicken
Sleep Number
LegalZoom
Sleep Train (West Coast)
No doubt I’ll hear two sounds from the vast majority of the whiners: crickets and more clucking — but miracles have happened before. Just ask Jesus.

Sandra Is no Fluke
Amid all the terrible things Rush Limbaugh was saying about reproductive justice and impoverished law school students who have to shell out of pocket for their condoms I remembered that Sandra the Fluke was a former president of the Georgetown Law Center for Reproductive Justice. Perusing the web site of the parent organization ( lsrj.org) I was surprised to see that while they maybe fresh out of money for condoms they could still offer paid fellowships.
In was not a Fluke that Sandra was chosen by the Democrats to testify. She is not, as the Democrats would have us believe, a typical college or law school student. She is first of all a hypocrite and secondly she was probably the only spokesperson they could come up with who was only covertly connected to NARAL and Planned Parenthood. She deserves all the grief she gets.

Unless he can document how his "apology" was a ruse to help Jack Baur foil nucular (sic) terrorism, I have no more use for him.
Actually, the generic mattresses at Big Lots aren’t that bad. lol
You don’t get it. It’s too late.
You can’t bitch at them for dropping Rush when he’s already admitted he shouldn’t have said what he said!
He apologized for the word choices, but did not say that she was NOT a “slut.” He gave a dem apology ie “I’m sorry if I offended Ms. Fluke.” He’s sorry he didn’t use a better word, like maybe Ms. Twobit.
“The radio business is a veritable cash cow and you don’t kill the cow, you milk it.”
It’s a shame that the conservatives are compelled to make a
profit to get it’s word out but liberals are subsidized.
Since one of the founders of that company is Robert Shaprio, part of the O.J. Simpson legal defense "Dream Team", I've always avoided their service.
