For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke.
I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit?In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone's bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level.
My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.
Yep. Wasn't this Fluke the same woman that the Repubs wouldn't let speak at the first hearing with the religious leaders and the Dem's screamed that a woman was shut down. That didn't get the traction they wanted so they held their own hearing?
If Rush hadn't come out with this statement the media would be talking about him being the leader of the Republican party and thus the Republicans must agree with him or denounce him and slobber all over themselves apologizing. It would have been Republicans hate woman being pounded by the media daily. Rush very well might have lost his show, they were planning on attacking his stations next. So they might have killed two birds with one stone, distraction of the real issues and getting rid of Rush.
I like the phrase “lusty hussy”
Periodically I borrow my mother’s choice...”what a poptart!”
************************************
I don't know if Rush has mentioned Arpaio's press conference, but didn't that just happen on Thursday? In the afternoon? Breitbart passed away. Rush has been embroiled in this "Fluke" issue. A lot has happened. He really hasn't had much time to research the press conference.
Imho, we are wasting time on this. We are in the middle of a campaign for the presidency, an event that may be unparalleled in our country's history.
Too much is at stake here, and I can imagine that Rush is well concerned with that.
Your right this was a loser for us from the beginning. The Dems and the MSM played us like a violin. We have to move on and talk about jobs and the economy. I hope this whole subject is forgotten by November. It is tough when you have the whole media against you.
I believe it was a duplicate.
Not to throw water on the name calling party but,
Did anyone who has called her a slut actually listen to or read her testimony. She mostly spoke of the use of contraceptives for medical conditions and nerver once discussed her own sexualty. So it is unclear why she the focus of Rush was on her sexualty and not the content of her testimony, which merited a rebuttal.
You could read it hear if you like
Just saying...
K - Thanks.
Yes.
You're kidding yourself.
Painful, but the ONLY thing that would make Rush cry uncle is when the locals cannot take it. It must have simply been too much. Those little Mom and Pop stations made him into “our servant” and he will NEVER let them down.
It’s always painful to watch something like this happen, but something made him make the call here, and the locals are the only ones he really cares about.
VIDEO March 02, 2012 BILL MAHER: “If Rick Santorum is your youth minister, youd ask your parents to switch you to the one who just molests.”
Is the President concerned about things liberal commentators are saying about conservatives or only what conservatives say about liberals?
Exactly how can Obama allow his Super PAC to take money from a man that consistently says far more vile things about Americans than anything Limbaugh said about Fluke?
And while we’re at it, when will the President call conservative talk radio host Laura Ingraham to express his condolences for MSNBC’s Ed Schultz calling her a slut back in May?
I am also a 24/7 subscriber, DO NOT TAKE THIS TO RUSH!!!! Take
anger to the ADVERTISERS, we are also customers probably more than
than the losers we are up against!!!, WE are the WORKING, WE are their
CUSTOMERS!!!! WE HAVE to FLOOD them with our positive reaction
for SUPPORTING Rush!!!!! Rush NEEDS us to ENDLESSLY back him
and make OUR VOICES HEARD!!!!! WE CAN NOT EXPECT RUSH TO
DO THIS ON HIS OWN, STAND UP!, THIS IS WAR!!!!!! This is the
FUTURE of our BELOVED country, FOR GOD’S SAKE STAND UP AND
FIGHT THE SAME WAY THEY DO!!!!!
the problem was, the whole thing was designed to take the issue away from 1st amendment. now the whole thing is fubar. why are the people on our side so bad at fighting these fights? why did Rush get sucked into this idiocy with this woman? why not point out she didn’t testify before full committee because she was so far off topic? why why why??
stay on point Rush, don’t get sucked into these sideshows.
We should boycott the four companies that decided drop Rush and support the persecution of Catholics.
I cannot believe that Rush gave in to this...I am just floored!
“Im sorry Ms. Fluke...that youre a slut.”
If Ms. Fluke doesn’t like being called a slut, then she should stop insisting that her birth control be paid for by everyone else! As for me, I think she’s a WHORE!! AND I will not apologize! I feel so sorry for her parents. I am sure they thought they raised a nice young “lady” but she told the world what she is!
I think that was the absurdity Rush was trying to illustrate.
Either she was spending $1000 a year on BC and acting like a human trampoline
or she was lying.
I've challenge a number of liberals to document how $1000/yr can be spent
when a nearby Target offers BC for $9/mth.
Not surprisingly I've received no response.
We should boycott the four companies that decided drop Rush and support the persecution of Catholics.
Attempt at dissing you? No, I was taking exception with your opinion of yourself that you are in some way of a superior intelligence and understanding as opposed to those of us on the forum with which you disagree or have an opinion opposed to yours..
catholic institutions do cover the pill when it is prescribed for medical conditions such as cysts, or endometriosis.
She is misleading the public about that.
If woman are being denied coverage, it is solely because they plan to use it for contraceptive purposes.
Sandra is the one who threw that ridiculously high number for total cost.
Once the math was calculated - it came out to approximately 3 sexual acts per day. Every day. For 3 years.
Someone who pays $45,000 A YEAR for her education (loan probably) can afford her own damn birth control pills or pull up her pants(or as my grandmother use to say pull up her “drawers”)!
When does she have time for law school if she needs $3,000 of birth control pills?! which, in my book, makes her a SLUT! (& a liar)
I’m partial to the word “strumpet” or “slattern”.
