For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke.
I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit?In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone's bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level.
My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.
Rush should have limited his apology to the fictitious 23 year-old college student, not the fraud that deceived the Country.
This phony contraception “issue” was planned at the highest levels by the DNC and Obama 2012 campaign. It was discussed for months. They despeately needed a wedge issue to win back the women they lost in 2010, or Obama would lose. And this is what they came up with. It revealed itself first as a seemingly bizarre question by George Stephanopoulos at that debate. It certainly doesn’t seem bizarre now - because we have been played by the best, step-by-step according to how Dr. Alinsky wrote it. And we fell for it. Rush fell into it. Sandra Fluke will one day be looked back at in the same way as Anita Hill. And make no mistake, this is going to hurt us BIG TIME on November 6th. When will we LEARN the Alinsky method, instead of merely being serial victims of it?
What good is an apology? The left will say he did it because of the sponsors, and crow, “Now who’s the whore?”

A - Rush has ample money regardless.
B - If cancelled under his current contract, I suspect he could very easily rebuild a new EIB - and fast.
C - I’m very disappointed in Rush.
Conservatives have no way to win and probably don’t deserve to win. The left is organized to the nth degree, seminar callers, letter-writing campaigns, registering phony voters, etc. Conservatives on the other hand don’t really want to devote all that time and effort to fighting the left, too busy.
Too late to organize now, think we missed our chance when we took a sabatical from the Tea Party.

Yes, Rush uses the apology to emphasize the point. I would prefer the word not used and maybe Rush does too. After all with the numerous hours he spends on his school for democracy he does run risks.
Time and time again the liberals mount up their phony outrage and the old Alinsky stuff. I have noticed a "shelf life" to almost all of it. They beat it to death for a week, then it drifts off to nothing.
The young woman is a very lucky person. Same as in Canada, it is a mind boggling thing for many young women to get a start. I see quite intelligent young women at minimum wage toughing it out a hoping for better things at the local coffee shop.
This thirty year old female has most of her life in front of her. She will start at quite a high level of employment. She is blessed by this system. Rush has a right to be indignant. When the news hit him, he could hardly contain his comment.
Excuse the ramble, but compared with the average young woman out there, she has no need of the extras from the long suffering tax payer.
Like Joe Arpaio’s press conference and report, which Rush (from I’ve read) has not mentioned. And no doubt won’t.

I just laughed. “Are you kidding?”
I was in a debate some months ago with a FReeper, and I pointed out that Rush is NO SOCIAL CONSERVATIVE.
This “Slut” debacle just proves my point. He wanted to be right. And fundamentally, he was. But Rush was in over his head. As many FReepers here have already observed... he was played.
You are right. Rush is simply an entertainer. He is right on fiscal policies, but when it comes to social issues... forget it.
They did the same thing to Imus and he is doing better than ever!
MSNBC sucks even more without him. They guaranteed the biggest racist, Al shakedown Sharpton, a show when he was yelling the loudest about Imus.
Media whores make me sick and there are a lot of them in the “news” business these days even on Fox but the others are even more intolerable.

I don’t think the slut comment was the problem...it was when he suggested she make a film (porno) of her having sex so we know what we are paying for.....that part of the statement was the nasty one, not the name calling. She deserved the title.
This was more a business decision that anything else as sponsors were pulling ad buys from EIB.
