The recent revelation that the head of Media Matters walked the streets of Washington with a Glock-toting bodyguard may make it a little awkward for the group the next time it seeks a donation from a gun control advocacy group.
Media Matters reportedly took more than $400,000 from the Joyce Foundation specifically earmarked to promote a $600,000 initiative on "gun and public safety issues." At the same time, Media Matters' gun-guarded boss David Brock reportedly obsessed over his own security.
....Brock reportedly told confidantes that he feared for his safety and needed hired guns to keep him safe.

Armed bodyguards for him, but we the people should be disarmed.

Gun control is for the little people.

This is just liberal business as usual. Do as I tell you and not as I do.
The rules are always different for Democrats. Whether its Barney Frank’s boyfriend running a male prostitution ring in their home, Geitner forgetting to pay his income taxes, or...well, you get the idea.

Gun Control is the tool of slavers and dictators - there is no honest reason to justify disarming free people other then to protect the ruling class from the population whom they - the ruling class - would exploit/harm.

Rosie O’Donnell’s children are more important than anyone’s kids. Hence, her need to have armed men escort her kids into day care center.

This is only a dichotomy if you don't understand the gun control issue. You see, people like David Brock don't believe that all guns should be banned. He just believes that law abiding citizens should have their guns confiscated from them. It's quite alright for the elite class to keep their guns. They can be trusted. It explains why Steven Speilberg can be for gun control yet own one of the largest gun collections around. The peasants on the other hand, well that's who gun control is aimed at...

Holthouse previously wrote an article for a Denver publication claiming he once planned a murder in such detail that he traveled to a neighboring state to buy a gun with a scratched-off serial number so it could not be traced back to him. His intended target was someone who attacked him as a child, forcibly raping him as a 7 year old, according to the article.
Uhmmm...talk about a media whore. This dude will write anything for money.

Just another lying hypocrite proving that it is all about money and power!

No no no, you’re wrong. Steven Speilberg had his large collection of guns digitally converted to a very large collection of walkie-talkies.

It’s not about guns. It’s about control.
They don’t have a problem with guns; their problem is with us having guns.

The poofer has an exaggerated sense of his own importance, at the very least.
Gerbils are in far more danger from him than he is from anyone else.

Cash transaction of $400,000.00?
Who knows where the money ended up.
Liberals = Organized crime. They operate the same way.

"gun and public safety issues" = Disarm the average citizen.

My understanding is Brock carries concealed but doesn’t use a holster. I will let you guess where he keeps it.

The only surprise here is that anyone is still surprised by this type of behavior. Most of these gun grabbers go to great lengths to assure their own safety. I’ll bet that even St. Sarah Brady has an armed gunman in close proximity to her wherever she goes.
To: Blood of Tyrants
That this guy thinks his life is in danger is a paranoid delusion fed by his own projection of his own reaction should someone try to take a basic right away from him. That says LOTS more about him than anyone else.
That said, he’d literally have nothing to worry about if he simply LEFT GUN OWNERS’ RIGHTS ALONE. Really, I don’t know of a single person who would give a rat’s arse about what this guy did for a living if he didn’t try to take away anyone’s most basic right (that of defending one’s self, loved ones and liberty). Of course, he’s just a damned hypocrite - “do as I say, not as I do; guns for me and not for you.”
I don’t expect that he’ll change his position or his job. Fine with me - he won’t succeed in any case, and if he’s made miserable by his own paranoid delusions, so much the better.

Exactly. That’s what people need to know, it’s never about guns, or the risks. It’s about power and control.
They don’t want tax-paying law-abiding citizens to have them.
