Illinois Democratic Rep. Michael Quigley said the Catholic Church should support President Barack Obamas decision to implement the mainstream rule.
California Democratic Rep. Xavier Becerra, a Catholic, called on the Catholic bishops to stop speaking out against the rule.
I hope that the bishops in my church will stop telling all the parishioners who believe in the Catholic faith that this is a violation of their religious freedom, said Becerra.

The Church is about seeking forgiveness, God knew from the first human, thru every Disciple, that every one of US were fallen.
Every Catholic woman I know about is using NATURAL birth control. IE the Rhythm method. Not contraceptives, Not IUDs, and Not disgusting Condoms and certainly Not sterilization.
Whether or not a person chooses to use birth control in spite of what their Catholic doctrine says is frankly, on them. The issue at hand isn’t the choice to use it, it’s the stripping of the choice of the organizations to not provide it and further to provide it for free. No business IMO, religious or otherwise should be forced to offer anything that they have a moral objection to.
We aren’t talking about the denial of life saving treatment. We are talking about elective preventative drugs. And beyond that, drugs that do just the opposite and arguably end life.
I’m not surprised that most Catholic women are on birth control, but the Church isn’t forced to provide it for them.
Government dictating to the Church is the issue here, not whether people comply with Church doctrine.
So the rule 'Thou Shalt not Commit Murder' is optional huh?
This is the true reason for Bath-House Barry’s mandate-
(notice the date this posted...)
In a debate such as this, there is always a goofball who argues against it. The fact that some people who claim to be Catholic use birth control is a given. But what does that have to do with the whole argument? The fact is that this Jackass in the White House is making me pay for other people to play around with something that ought to be saved for marriage. That is not right. If they want to play around, let them pay for it. Do not make me pay for it.
That is just wrong. Completely wrong, and I will fight against it.
It’s not the “rythm method” ... that’s long gone history. It’s “sympto-thermal” and it’s much more involved ... and very effective in learning when the woman is fertile and when she is not. My lovely bride and I used this to help bring two beautiful girls into this world. They are now 10 and 11. :-)
What difference does it make how many Catholic women use birth control?
It would not matter at all if every single one did.
Then let them pay for it themselves. Why should I pay because THEY want something for nothing that I vehemently disagree with?
This isn’t about contraception anyway. It’s about the First Amendment to the Bill of RIGHTS in the Constitution of the United States of America... or don’t we live in America anymore?
Nose, camel, tent.
So, Nancy Pelosi, being a Catholic can say how "Courageous" it is to oppose the Catholic church huh?
The majority of Catholic women practice NATURAL birth Control. I.E. the Rhythm method. Saying that most Catholic women practice birth control is trying to imply that they are using artificial methods.
Very clever deceptive words.
I'm not endorsing Nancy Pelosi in anything. When she opposes the Church, it is a mater for the Church and not the government to do something about.
So?
So an individual CHOOSES to violate Church law.
What does that have to a Government telling a Church that they HAVE NO CHOICE and will follow Government mandates?
“Every Catholic woman I know about is using NATURAL birth control.”

And how can you be sure of that? We Catholic women all lied about it in the 60s(or evaded the subject). The truth came out in the mid 70S.
And I in no way support what Obama the King is doing.
By this logic, the answer is not only should the Synagogues pay for bacon, they should eat it, because other people do and Obama knows best.
