Newt Gingrich will stay in the Republican presidential nomination contest despite an expected loss to Mitt Romney in Saturdays Nevada caucuses, the former speaker told The Washington Times late Saturday afternoon.
We had excellent fundraising meetings and calls yesterday, Mr. Gingrich said. Super Tuesday and beyond look good.
The Georgia native thus dispelled rumors circulating in the press that his campaign had scheduled a press conference for late Saturday, after the results were in from the Nevada caucuses.
We will probably be a solid second here with [Rick] Santorum in last place, Mr. Gingrich said, while acknowledging indirectly that attracting donors and voters in sufficient force to overtake Mr. Romney will be a challenge in the coming weeks.

LOL
Tean Romney continues to spread the lie every day and at every primary and at every Newt press conference that Newt “might drop out.” He’s in this till the end, and it only gets better from here.
The press conference is/was Newt laying out his specific plan on how he is going to win the delegates necessary to be the nominee. I am glad a lot of attention is being given to this press conference, because it will give more people a chance to hear the very REAL plan for winning the nomination.
Curious...how does the RNC chairman (Prebius) receive emails at the National Repubican Congressional Committee? I thought this was just Boehner & Co.
Wouldn't the RNC Chair have to be reached at the RNC site?

And, here's the phone number: Phone: 202-863-8545
Time to melt their phone lines...as if they even care :(

It would be amazing if this mess flipped.
Political Moneyball: The Conservative Strategy for Winning the Fight Coming After the Election
###
The GOP Establishment we keep hearing about is real, and it is also doomed.
That will not change whether the Establishments candidate Mitt Romney wins in November or not. After the election, the battle really starts; what is happening now are just skirmishes in a fight for control of the Republican Party.
Not the soul of the party if it had one, it auctioned it off long ago but the mechanism of the party. The Grand Old Party matters only as a vehicle to carry our banner forward. To do that, we need to seize control, and we do that by destroying the Establishment starting next November 7th.
*snip*
The GOP Establishment is an amorphous entity composed of politicians, media types, consultants, writers, lobbyists, party hacks and donors whose first priority is protecting their positions and privileges.
Power, and holding onto it, is more important than ideology. Thats where we conservatives differ we have no formal power or position, so changing the power structure doesnt scare us. We have nothing to lose; the GOP Establishment has everything to lose.

EXACTLY! Destroy the Establishment GOP!
“If you know a few they are very nice. When in the majority, some of the nastiest people you will ever meet. I know this from experience.”
Ditto. F’n ruthless. Like Romney, they forced people and many small businesses out of work. Contracts mean NOTHING.

Cycle Candidates
All Candidates
Romney 38.6% 3,642
Gingrich 27.2% 2,573
Paul 19.2% 1,810
Santorum 14.3% 1,347
If those numbers were to hold, it’d be a horrific showing for Mitt.
Meant to put your name on post 260.
I’ll support Mitt before I’ll support Newt. I like Newt’s positions on issues better, but he’s proven that he has a huge gender gap that won’t get any better in November.
NGFNU Club
Prefect!
They care.
Now, FNC is saying there were vote count issues in favor of Newt?!?
Newt’s numbers are the same, but it appears CNN has a wheelbarrow full of 2,500 Romney ballots if they need it. The discrepancy is a real head scratcher.
YES, and it helps me tame my mouth. ;>)
I emailed him...will call to..hope I remain lady like!
Being broadcast live on C-Span.
At this point, he has not yet begun the press conference. Banner at the bottom says "Newt Gingrich News Conference in Las Vegas Live Shortly"
Newt: "I WILL be a candidate for President of the United States. We will be going to Tampa."
Something fishy. Mineral County was in and Newt won it (red color). Now have pulled back and show no results and total votes in has dropped to 15.1%
I spotted it.
I hope they realize what a huge can of worms they've opened with this.
