Rick Santorum is on the verge of being left off the ballot in the the Indiana primary, three sources told BuzzFeed Friday.
The former Pennsylvania senator is more than 30 signatures short of the 500 needed in the 7th Congressional district, which includes Marion County, where Indianapolis is located, a source close to the Santorum campaign said.
The Marion County chief deputy of voter registration on the Democratic side, Scott Carr, confirmed that Santorum had not submitted 500 valid signatures. An Indiana Republican source said Santorum is "a couple dozen" signatures short, but that Newt Gingrich will be on the ballot.
The Indiana Primary won't be held until May 8, and is unlikely to be decisive in any event, but Santorum's shortfall cuts against some of his supporters hopes that he will rise as Newt Gingrich falls to provide a final challenger to Mitt Romney.

Seriously manc...i have changed my profile in probably 10 years...
yet you put Jim down, saying he reads freemail, he send messages with swearing in them and he threatens you.
Still no answer to post #74...
Wait I know the answer.
You probably haven’t donated a cent to FR.
You probably haven’t attended one FR function.
You probably haven’t help organized any FR functions.
You probably haven’t help fund any FR functions...
Am I wrong?

Manc I have challenged Jim over and over again on the public board about this. He sent me a private email with vulgarity in it threatening me.
Give me a break. At least I have the balls to stand up for what I believe in and what is right.-
Manc like I said to Jim directly both in mail and publicly if he wants to ban me that is his discretion I have almost 16 years of participating here at FR but under no threat am I am going to stop speaking the truth.
Thats what real conservatives do.
As for not voting against Obama - that says it all. Now we know who you really support.

Just in the last two weeks. But I am not going to say much here in FREEPmail Jim has people actually reading all of this stuff.
Something has happened here at FR...this is absolutely not the same Jim that I have loved and supported since 1998!
Everything I have posted here on FR, on the chapter boards or in FREEPMail is the truth.
How much have you donated to FR?
Jim is not a conservative, he is wrong, those who voted for Newt are not conservatives, Jim send you messages and threatens you
WOW
That’s a complete lie.
I can prove it to you. If I didn’t think Jim was a conservative would I do this:
This is last donation that I did for this quarter fund-raider.
Thank you for your recent contribution of $500.00 to Free Republic.
DETAIL:
Amount: $500.00
Pledge: #67,731
Method: One-time FreeRepublic Donation
On behalf of Jim Robinson and the members of Free Republic, we thank you
very much for your continued support.
Sincerely,
The Free Republic fundraising team.
Really Manc you are so off-base with this.
How much have you EVER donated to FR?
Why are you pinging me? I haven’t said a word to you. But I will now. Santorum has no chance of winning, NONE and even less chance of beating the Kenyan.
I’m going to keep posting you what you said every time but like you said it is hard for you to have a conversation with me.
So I have told you we can meet up and have that conversation when we meet up at a meeting, and we’ll go over all what you want.
Manc...you claimed that I said JimRob was not a conservative.
That’s a lie. I haven’t never thought for a minute that Jim isn’t a conservative.
Jim did threaten me in a freepmail about posting anything negative about Gingrich and he DID use profanity in his message.
You should realize if you have to lie to make a point, the only point you are making is about yourself and you are only proving that you are dishonest in your discussions.
How much have you donated or participated here at FR?
LOL, you know you might upset him now.
I posted what he said about Jim and now he states I am lying even though his messages he sent to me are here for everyone to see.
BTW Onyx and I were talking and she said you are still thinking about leaving, Costa Rica by any chance?
I didn’t ping you. I was replying to a post manc made with you on it. That’s all. Making sure you saw the conversation.
I fully respect your opinion on Santorum...I feel the same exact way about Gingrich.
Believe me I wish the situation were different and I really wish Gingrich were who we would want us to believe...it just isn’t the case.
your words are here ot see, though I am betting Jim can g back further on the FL board and off the front page and see you past posts about who is and not a conservative.
Jim and I voted for Newt because it was not against Santorum but we feel he has a better chance
As JimRob just wrote to me and said...just ignore Manc it usually works for me.
There is no need to respond any further to anyone that is deliberately dishonest and now everyone knows it.
really, Jim Robinson has never ignored me, but go ahead don’t respond to me, it will be better for your health, LOL
My position is crystal clear. I stand with Newt because he is a pro-life, Reagan conservative and veteran of the Reagan Revolution and the Republican Revolution and I absolutely love the job he did as Speaker and his current plan for gutting our out of control federal government.
And I absolutely despise the lying political whore Mitt Romney who has never lifted a finger for any conservative cause and never will.
I don’t recall sending you profanity but who knows. I sometimes revert to my native tongue (Navy Petty Officer) without even realizing it when pushed to the limit.
And I apologize to Leni. Don’t recall speaking with her sister.
Thanks,
Jim
Really.
You can stand in front of Wal-Mart and get 100 signatures on almost anything.
That’s what they did in Irving when trying to collect signatures for the wet/dry petitions.
Thanks Jim.
I whole heartily agree about Romney.
When Gingrich was speaker of the house I dreamed of him becoming POTUS someday.
To all concerned: Surfer is a great and loyal supporter of FR and our conservative causes. Always has been. We just happen to disagree at the moment on Newt Gingrich and whether or not he should be trashed on FR.
I say not.
I’ve asked Surfer and a few other long time FReepers not to use FR to trash our last best conservative hope against Romney/Obama (who are ideological twins) and I’m hoping he and they will continue cooperating.
Some have ignored my oft repeated requests and are no longer with us.
Meanwhile, suggest you all ignore each other and try to avoid flamewars.
Thanks,
Jim
