Komen for the Cure just released the following statement from Nancy Brinker and the Susan G. Komen Board of Directors:
We want to apologize to the American public for recent decisions that cast doubt upon our commitment to our mission of saving women's lives.
The events of this week have been deeply unsettling for our supporters, partners and friends and all of us at Susan G. Komen. We have been distressed at the presumption that the changes made to our funding criteria were done for political reasons or to specifically penalize Planned Parenthood. They were not.
Our original desire was to fulfill our fiduciary duty to our donors by not funding grant applications made by organizations under investigation. We will amend the criteria to make clear that disqualifying investigations must be criminal and conclusive in nature and not political. That is what is right and fair.
Our only goal for our granting process is to support women and families in the fight against breast cancer. Amending our criteria will ensure that politics has no place in our grant process. We will continue to fund existing grants, including those of Planned Parenthood, and preserve their eligibility to apply for future grants, while maintaining the ability of our affiliates to make funding decisions that meet the needs of their communities.

Sickening. Blood money resumes.
Wonder what that is?
No doubt it involves stealing ~ and PP understood both how naive that target was and how everybody over there must have been digging deep into the trough of contributions.
No doubt they should be investigated by the state attorney general wherever they are incorporated.
I didn’t think this would be true. Interesting turnaround. How much did they get paid?
I knew that they would be under pressure, and will continue to be disgusted at the pink ribbon horsewash it looks like.
Wow.....these people will do anything to keep their hands stained with innocent blood.
A threat goes a long way...and I’ll bet that included a personal threat.
This is why I urged people who started to give them money the last few days to not do it. Don’t trust them.
BTW this is a nice preview of exactly what will happen with Romney on this issue too.
Too late, Komen. You’ve got that stink ‘ya now.

I feel sorry for all those that gave over the last two days.
Komen will die on the vine over the next 2 or three years. They will be a shell of their former selves. This reversal will kill them.
Flip floppers.
No one likes a flip-flopper. Either you were wrong before, or you’re wrong now.
In any case...NO ONE (pro-deathers or pro-lifers) are happy with SGK now.
That’s the end of the Komen Foundation as far as I’m concerned.

I’m not surprised at all. I never buy anything that has their name/pink ribbon on it. I told my husband about it, too.
People who recently gave should stop payments on their checks and/or ask for their donations to be returned and let them know why!!!
The Pro abortion dem congresscritters threatened to supoenea all of Komen’s financial records and put them under the kleig lights in DC. Komen caved under the pressure. The thirst of the baby killers seems unquenchable.
Komen's average daily donations DOUBLED this week, this should gut them. They have blood on their hands and they deserve to be shown for exactly what they are.
This is the begining of the end for that organization.
