13,000 ADS for Romney
Newt 200

all of Romneys ADs have been lies and trust me yesterday I went out to get support for Newt and nearly all said that they had not heard this or that about Romney and why did FOX not mention this

You can thank FOX, AD’s and the establishment

Romney is a snake

Never underestimate the abject stupidity of the electorate.

Look who's president.

What is going on, is that apparently, not that many people want Newt to win. Pretty simple really, they don’t like him.

What’s going on, you ask?

Simple: people are basing their votes solely on their view of which candidate is more electable.

They are overlooing the negatives of each candidate and weighing how the positives of each candidate might play out in the general election.

They want to defeat Obama, first and foremost.

The fight between Romney and Gingrich is about one thing: who can convince the most people that he can defeat Obama.

It doesn’t matter how bad or how good their record is, it all has to do with defeating Obama.

That’s my analysis.

I am still trying to figure how anyone calling themselves conservative could vote for that stink’n liberal Romney.
He has never been conservative, he never will be conservative.

I am just north of Orlando and voted half an hour ago. I voted for Newt. Saw signs up along the way for Newt and Santorum. None for Romney. (BIG GRIN!) I am north of Orlando. Now I will be phone banking for Newt. I cannot answer for anyone else. I made my own yard signs for Newt. The people told me at the polling place that they have been “steady” as of 10am. I was the only one there at the time voting. Everyone do whatever you can as it is not over till it’s over! We can still make calls for Newt till 6pm.

They're buying the MSM/Republican Establishment lie that Romney is the only candidate that can beat Obama and Newt is unelectable. Funny thing is its the same lie the Republicans establishment used in 2008 to sell McCain. He was supposedly the only candidate that could appeal to moderates and beat the democrat challenger. You would think the base would learn after being burnt once, but I guess not. Maybe they will learn this time around after McCain v2.0 goes down in flames like McCain v1.0 did in 2008.

You lost sleep over this? Really? Perhaps you need to take a break from politics. You are way too deeply invested if one state is going to get you this upset. By the time we finish this process in the Summer, you are going to be insane. This is one state. I personally slept very well last night knowing that we are only going on the fourth state. I wish you well but the time to worry is not quite yet.

It is indeed odd how evangelicals in S.C. overwhelmingly cited Mitten’s Mormonism as a primary factor in voting against him, yet there is no such compunction amongst the Florida flock.

A Fla.acquaintance of mine who is one of the Tea Party founders and speaks all over the country, is a regular on TV, etc....said that though she has been asked repeatedly to support a candidate, she is not committing and will remain neutral.
Therein lies the problem right now.
The Tea Partiers are all over the place.

I wrote back to her and basically told her what I thought of her useless four paragraph mass email on why she has chosen to sit this one out.
Safe move for her...but lack of courage and wasted words.

I've been thinking is there no one else to be thrown under the bus in support of Newt?

Never thought as a loyal long time member of FR who has never voted D for president that I would be called stupid for supporting one GOP primary candidate over another.

Romney has successfully convinced enough people in Florida, through a blistering ad campaign, that Newt cannot win against Obama.

For most republicans, WINNING is the bottom line, and they feel there is a better chance of beating Obama with Romney. Thats not what _I_ think, but its what most republicans probably do. Its just how it is.

I plan on voting for Newt today during an extended lunch hour.

I came to the same position after they destroyed Cain and Sarah. America will get what it votes for. I am no longer running around Florida or trekking off to DC to try to wake up the sleeping or ignorant.
I will vote today but I am now totally focused on preparing for Obama 2012. If it doesn’t happen I will have learned how to can, raise chickens, garden, grind wheat etc. If it does I will somewhat prepared. Oh.. I am now armed.

Romney sent out absentee ballots to all registered voters in Florida along with campaign material. Also, don’t over estimate the public being as informed as Freepers. I can’t tell you the number of hard core conservatives I know who just don’t know about Romney and are only looking at what he says now.
