What is going on, is that apparently, not that many people want Newt to win. Pretty simple really, they don’t like him.

.. But they LIKE Romney?!

He’s the coldest fish I’ve ever seen in politics, except maybe Obama.

You are correct. I pulled the lever for Newt, but mostly because he’s the closest to a good option. He has many weaknesses. While I think Mitt is a terrible option, he is presented as a polished, business savvy guy. That is appealing to some. Also, with the money advantage and the monolith, conservative media front for Mitt, there is no doubt they have a big impact.

Most people really have a problem with folks who are more intelligent than they are. Newt certainly has that difficulty, and this is Florida where the people are easily sent into deep pits of depression by something as simple as the "butterfly ballot".

I'd look for the dumbest candidate ~ that's where you'll find Florida voters.

As much as we wish it were, the entire Republican electorate isn't made up of FR.

Not many people liked Steve Jobs either but he was a visionary leader. People are voting to trade the world's worst venture capitalist in history for a vulture capitalist plant. We're screwed.

You’re right ya know.

One of my family members ( most of them are DEMONCRAPS ewwwwwwww ), told me she’d vote for an R for the first time in her life IF it was NOT Gingrich.

People are stupid , ignorant and stubborn all wrapped into one decaying burrito if they’ll vote for Ovomit again.
Man, I just wanna bitch-slap em into the next century sometimes / rant off.........

Spot on. Sometimes a simple conclusion is the correct one.

Character counts (Past and present) in the voting booth which is why politicians try like hell to cover-up their past transgressions (LBJ/Kennedy affairs ect...) and present a squeaky-clean image for the electorate to digest. This becomes easier with mass of propaganda aided by the complicit mass media that either aids in the cover-up or provides damage control to previous misdeeds. Newt does not have this apparatus in his corner.

Unfortunately for Newt supporters, the years have not lingered long enough for many to forget his past transgressions and allegations laid out by his opponents. The day is not over, though; the only poll that counts has not been tallied yet.

And that's just Republicans. Just think what Independents and "Reagan Democrats" think about him.

Tough sledding in a national election.
