Today We Must Flood Rush's Radio Show With Pleas For Him to Take A Stand in Florida
1/30/12 | Vanity

Posted on 01/30/2012 9:28:20 AM PST by OneVike

I have listened to rush Limbaugh since he was still in Sacramento Ca.. I listen to him every day from Monday to Friday. Even if I am on vacation I do my best to listen to him. It is not because I agree with him, but because he agrees with the vast majority of things I do. I even watched his show when it was on television. I own every news letter he ever put out, even the very first one. I joined in when he helped fire us up to defeat Hilarycare by protesting with other conservatives in Chico where I live. It was a great year, because that protest across the country helped bring the first republican House in almost 50 years.

Well, today we live in a time that sees America's very existence as a sovereign free nation, near an end, and it is my belief that Rush Limbaugh can turn the tide as he did almost 20 years ago. Rush, as you all know, lives in Florida and he has already voted, or he will vote tomorrow. I implore each and everyone of my fellow Freepers to call his show, and plead with his patriotism to step up and help us stop the cultist, Mitt Romney, from winning Florida's 50 delegates.

I have already began calling his show, and every-time I get a busy tone, I redial again. Let us all pin him to the wall, and force him to take a stance.

If you really want to get past the call screener, tell them you support Romney.

Is not the way it works..why attempt that lunacy.

Hit dial, right after he takes a call. He has a 45 second delay.

Yea, I remembewr him telling a caller that about 8 years ago.

I have always tried it, but only one time in my whole time of calling have I actually got through.

It was back in 2003 I think. I was the last caller and made my point in 36 seconds. Then the show ended.

He called me Chucko Cheak, instead of Chuck from Chico. I had a few Freepers suggest I change my Freeper name to Chucko Cheack to reflect my moment of getting online.

Because I was the very last caller before the end, many remembered it.

Alas, I have never ever got through even to the screen caller.

Actually, maybe what could REALLY be helpful would be if folks call Rush's show and say: "Rush, you've been eloquent in the last few days about Newt's history and conservative credentials with regard to Reagan. You've told us how Gingrich has been conservative. Now if you would be so kind, please tell us the ways in which Romney has been conservative?"

If one was willing to lie and present him/herself as a Romney supporter wanting Rush to "balance" the show by articulating Mitt's "conservative" points to balance what he's said about Newt over the days, that would be okay. But really, Rush attributes to "hate" our passionate rejection of Romney, and THAT is Rush being in touch with his feminine side -- it is all emotion.

Rush, you've told us about Newt's conservative accomplishments and bona fides. Please enumerate the same for Romney.

Are you saying that people that follow Rush are nothing more than sheep and will do whatever he tells them to do?

Good idea.

Still a busy line, but as Onyx suggests, I will definitely call right after Rush takes a call.

I also try to time my call by guessing when a caller is about 30 to 45 seconds from finishing a call.

He’s in Florida and he gets to vote.

I never reveal how I vote, unless to a very close friend or two; its personal, it's my business; as their vote is their business.

Is their a rule somewhere I missed that talk show people have to disclose their voting record? Make a stand? Your stand? what about others who disagree with another stand..that becomes a whole lot of e-mailing! ;)

The candidates are all big boys, they can run their campaigns best they see fit and let individual voters - The People decide. They don't need over zealous, which they do appreciate, supporters with a burning books mentality-- burn down the airwaves unless you are for candidate A or B or C! effecting their likability. It only drives potential voters away.

Independents will decide in this election.

Fact: In January, Gallup released its latest study on the question of political self-identification, finding "the proportion of independents in 2011 was the largest in at least 60 years"--a stunning 40 percent. Democrats were at a desultory 31 percent, and Republicans proved utterly unable to capitalize on a bad, Democrat-led economy, trending downward to 27 percent."

NO, but his opinion carries a lot of weight. Just as we Sarah’s opinion does.

For those still on the fence, he could sway them to Newt, or convince some Santorum supporters to go for Newt this time to keep Romney from winning.

Rush’s listeners are not like Democrats, but we do trust his opinions.

Thanks, OneV, for what you're doing. And maybe a BETTER way to phrase the question, as Rush has himself said again and again flat-out: Romney is not a conservative. Just now, he said, "They know he's not a conservative."

So maybe a BETTER question would be, Rush, why do Romney's supporters think he's a conservative?"

And my question is sincere -- I read pieces by Coulter and others who like Romney, always looking for reasons to vote for him, reasons they think he's a conservative. While they have all kinds of praise for Romney and talk about why think think he's a better choice and call him a "conservative," they NONE OF THEM talk about the ways he's conservative. I really, really want to know: WHY, on WHAT EVIDENCE, do Romney supporters claim Romney is "conservative"?

Who is your candidate?

looking back at your comment history, you really have not supported any candidate. So you take your right of privacy so far as to not even share with your fellow freepers who you support?

Or have I just not looked close enough to see who you support in the primaries?

Rush’s listeners are not like Democrats, but we do trust his opinions.

finish that with .."as long as they are your opinions."

Fox talk show host Pirro in her interview with Palin [which I watched], this weekend said this could be breaking news your endorsement of Newt?..Palin could not be pressed to say yes or no, finally Palin said she would vote for Newt "if she were voting TODAY", emphasis on TODAY but would not commit to later on. She left the door open. It is still early. Politicians still act like politicians.

I think the incident with Herman Cain leads public people in this business to be more guarded on any one candidate, if it happened to Cain could it happen again?--unexpected things happen, unfortunately.

Hannity, for one, had seemed to have aligned himself as a Cain supporter, he was with Cain at Trumps, another friend. It becomes a safety net..they don't want to burn bridges..for those highly rated interviews! ;)

Rush may not like it but the Vichy Liberal establishment is pushing out 40% of its base. What happens is the Republicans lose 10% of the bases vote in this election? We are not wanted in the Democratic party period. We are wanted in the Republican party to the extent they will allows us in but none of our positions are supported, none of our candidates are allowed to run and win, and we are expected to fully support by working precincts, phone banks and sending in our $$$ for candidates who are to the left of Ted Kennedy in many cases.

When we dare question the establishment we are told to STFU and know your place, they are typical arrogant liberal pukes. How long would you as a principled person stay in a relationship which I described? Rush and the establishment are begging for a third party debacle. I don’t think the Republican party can be salvaged at this point, it’s corrupt to the core.

The question is when Romney wins the nomination and is trounced in the general election what will the conservatives in the Republican party do? Will they come back with the tired old line of working within the party-how has that worked out for us so far? Or will the likes of DeMint, Ryan, Perry, stand up and say we no longer recognize the Republican party and urge a mass exodus toward a tea party or some other party.

If the conservatives leave and coalesce around a new party quickly and absolute neuter any liberals who attempt to gain positions of power they can most certainly begin to have effects on elections and could condemn the remnants of the Republican party to the ash heap of history. Lots of ifs here. The downside is the democrats will win at least two-three election cycles and in the process destroy the country. So take our pick, quick destruction with the democrats or a slow death with the Vichy Republicans, results the same in either case.

Rush’s tea is BARF! - Way too much sugar.

His wife's run company with his picture on it [I rarely like to see people's faces on my product or every cover of their books, as with Beck, but will give Newman a pass]..

The Unsweetened is excellent--tried several. YUM ;)

I never buy sweetened Tea, not necessary.

Of course.

We are not mind numb robots as the left claims.

It is the leftist who are mindless.

As I said, we like him because he agrees with our already set in stone beliefs. He just conveys them nationally where we cannot.

In this case, he has the chance to tip the balance in newts favor if he takes a stand on his show.

So far I still have gotten nothing but busy signals.

Pirro used to have a judge show like peoples court. My wife watches them all the time.

When I heard FOX was giving her a show, I promised never to watch it because she was the most liberal of them all. Is she as leftists as I imagined?
