A new InsiderAdvantage poll conducted Sunday night of likely Republican voters in the state of Florida shows a significant surge for Newt Gingrich.
The poll has Mitt Romney leading with 36 percent of voters, followed by Gingrich at 31 percent.
The Sunday results of 646 likely GOP voters are as follows: Romney 36 percent Gingrich 31 percent Santorum 12 percent Paul 12 percent Other/Undecided 9 percent "The race will be tighter than expected," Matt Towery, chief pollster of InsiderAdvantage told Newsmax.
Towery noted that his poll showed a surge for Romney on Wednesday, with him leading Gingrich by 8 points. The InsiderAdvantage poll was among the first to show Romney's resurgence after his dismal showing in the S. Carolina primary.
The InsiderAdvantage poll was also the first to show Gingrich's rise in S. Carolina and accurately forecast his win there.
"The trend is favoring Gingrich," Towery said, noting that while Romney's lead was still outside the margin of error of 3.8 percent, "It's not by much.".........

It was the only one that saw a Gingrich surge in SC as well. The Insider Advantage poll was the first to show Gingrichs rise in South Carolina then after that the other polls followed the same trend.
Yes, big differences in some of the recent polls, but in general, polls which include thurs and fri data are more favorable to Romney than polls including only sat and sun. That shows some movement around thurs or fri. Possible explanations are backlash against black thursday, cain endorsement, palins words, tea party endorsements. Also the Thursday night debate, while not great for Newt, I thought, showed Romney to appear vindictive. We’ll know more tomorrow, thanks for the info.
I know. What does this have to do with your statements,
"This will be a big test to see how pro life Rick is"
and
"a vote for Romney from his camp would prove otherwise"
?
Has Santorum indicated that he's leaving the race? Did I miss something?
Therefore, Newt could be ahead by 2.6. Since Newt is drawing larger crowds than mittens, I think Newt wins. LOL.
The Obama campaign reportedly considered InsiderAdvantage surveys to be among the most accurate and most likely to reflect their own internal polling. In 2009, Nate Silver, founder of the popular polling/prediction website FiveThirtyEight.com in a speech at Fordham University, named InsiderAdvantage one of the nations three most accurate national pollsters for the 2008 presidential contest.

Nyuk nyuk!
Actually NO .... all polls with Saturday/Sunday data do NOT show Newt closing Gap.
SurveyUSA has Saturday and Sunday data and Romney +15
Rasmussen is Saturday polling and Romney +16
That being said, I do think it will get closer before Tuesday. But the trend is not our friend this time.
It is so hard for me to believe this. I have been watching every gathering of Newt and Romney that I can find. C-Span always spans the crowds when Newt speak. Today you could see 1,000's of them and with Ronmey they keep focused on him and the people behind him, which leads me to believe he doesn't attract near the crowd that Newt does.
See some head spinning if Newt makes a comeback.
Do you have a trigger finger? You keep posting this same post. :-)
Thats when the worm turned for faux news.Hiring that liberal POS said it all.And then our Military threw his sorry ass out of trashkanistan or ICRAK(I dont remember which one).He should have been fired on the spot.
I think FR is slow tonite. That sometimes causes double posts.
They are warming up Mitch Daniels in the bull pen. The channel I watched actually made it a point to say that the person delivering the rebuttal to the state of the union has often gone on to be president.
No, I/A is not the only poll that has Newt within single digits. A new PPP poll taken Sat. & Sun. has Mitt up by 7 points, 39 to 32. Paul gained 2 pts, Santorum and Romney each dropped 1, while Newt stayed in place. The implication is that Romney has peaked in Florida, and voters are beginning to grow weary of his negative attack ads.
Interesting that nearly all of Romney’s entire Florida lead comes from the votes of moderates (58-15 over Newt). the problem for new is that Mitt is up 12 point among those who voted early. To overcome that early lead, Newt would have to win by 6 or 7 points on Election day.
Newt has 5 events Monday with Michael Reagan campaigning with him on a whirlwind tour of the state (Jacksonville, Pensacola, Tampa, Fort Meyers and Orlando).
Prayers and Fasting have been happening around here on FR over the next several hours through Tuesday. GOD be with us. I prayed our voices will be amplified and our strength increased and our numbers enlarged, for the sake of our country.
You know it does seem that the revolt out here is getting a lot of coverage and the rage, by rights, *should* cause some tightening. Romney has been, what, like 14 points or worse up on Newt. It simply should tighten some with all the civilian push pack. Listen to the callers on Cspan and Rush, people are FED UP as Rick Perry titled his book.
It was reported today that an Orange County Hispanic group dumped Romney for Newt and wrote Romney a letter to that effect naming several reasons, including Newt’s long and established history of hearing Hispanic concerns.
I wore the Rasmussen name around here this fall on my tag line, vouching for their accuracy, but this cycle that three day rolling average of theirs just can’t keep up with the mood of the people. They just have to be off. Romney may beat Newt in Florida, but come on, not with this kind of unfettered energy and fury out here by any double digits extrordinaire, can he?
I remember the night Reagan was elected. The expression on Dan Rather’s face: PRICELESS!
The call has gone out and one lantern has been spotted in the North Church!
The Regulars are coming, wake up your men and bring them to Lexington at once! Wake up the Regulars are coming!

not true at all
Obama, W, Clinton, 41, Reagan, Carter, Nixon, LBJ, etc... none gave the rebuttal
So you feel that the people are coming out for Newt? I watched his speech today on C-Span and you could see a sea of people out for him. It appears by what I see on C-Span he is drawing crowds all over.
GO NEWT!
