This morning I authored a Vanity Post declaring that under no circumstance would I vote for Romney.
Even though I am a lifelong Republican and have NEVER voted for a Democrat in my 60+ years, I am finished with the biased liberal media (including Fox) and the Republican establishment selecting my (losing) candidate. Here are some of my reasons:
In 1976, a sitting MODERATE Republican president named Gerald R. Ford ran against a two-bit peanut farming liberal Georgia governor and LOST.
1n 1992, a sitting MODERATE Republican president named George Bush ran against a liberal Arkansas governor with a history of raping and abusing women and LOST.
In 1996 a sitting MODERATE US Republican senator named Robert Dole ran against a sitting liberal president named William (stained blue dress) Clinton who was later impeached and disbarred and LOST.
In 2008, a long-term sitting MODERATE US Republican senator named John McCain ran against a do-nothing jerk US Senator from Illinois whose sole qualifying credential was as a community organizer for ACORN and student of Saul Alinsky and LOST.
And now in 2012, the Republican Party insiders, along with the liberal press are trying to once again pick our candidate - a MODERATE Massachusetts Governor who introduced socialized medicine to his State and guess what my friends...
“NO to Romney, now and in the future. The GOP can just die for all I care now. Burn the republican party to the ground and stir up the ashes. It is cancer, desperately in need of surgical removal and thrown into the biohazard waste bin.”
AMEN!
“America will be destroyed if Obama wins again.
It will also be destroyed if Romney gets in as well. That’s just the fact”
Along with that fact is the notion that as it is destroyed with a Republican at the helm, it’s all the Republican’s fault,,,so no hope EVER of resurrecting Republican ideals.
No thanks!
“Even if the obamessiah wins, a constitutional congress can hold the line against an anti-american president and maybe we can take the next 4 years to build the constitutional party we desire. “
You know, I used to think so. Buttttttt,,the way Obama grabs power,,means to me that he would certainly circumvent any resistance that SHOULD come from the balance of powers. He has already proved he is more than willing to do that, even though his party holds the Senate. Obama does NOT care about the implications,,only the power and he urges the little people (you and me) to fight each other to figure out who wins. The man is slime!
‘We need a guy like Ron Paul to lead us!”
I’m sorry but Dr Paul (God bless him!) can’t lead himself to the end of a sentence let alone lead a country. I like a LOT of what he has to say and hope he has a place in our country’s leadership in the future. I just can’t get behind him as a leader now,,,sorry.
Is it a tell? Obama Hussain drinks only water cos he’s a Muslim?
Hate to tell you, but Reagan got over 50 percent in 1980.

Oh, cool, thanks. Not sure where I got the wrong idea from. I’m sorry I discredited Ronnie’s record.
I’ve taken the no RINO’s pledge myself.
Wrong!! Blame the GOP for nominating a liberal. Not those that vote their conscience. Or better yet blame the “go along to get along” voters that support whatever RINO the GOP forces on us and allowing them to keep pushing these less than conservative candidates on us cycle after cycle. The GOP elite would rather be in charge of a rump party, than actually take the fight to the enemy. So screw them!! I'm done with being told to shut up and vote for who we say to or it's your fault if we lose. F that!!!
McLame was the last RINO. I'd rather be the loyal opposition, than relegated to the backwaters of the GOP, because the RINO elite are in charge. Which is what will happen to Conservatives if Mitt wins.
In 1992, there was a populist little bugger from Texas with big ears named Perot who screwed things up. Not that Bush was perfect, but he did give us Clarence Thomas, a great Supreme pick.
In 1996, war hero Bob Dole, who literally gave his right arm for the country, took one on the chin for the Republicans because nobody was going to beat Clinton that year.
One can find explanations and rationalize almost anything. I voted for Newt yesterday in Florida's advance voting primary; my wife voted for him today. Not only because has presented actual plans that have a high probability for success in turning around the economy and reversing some of the trends toward socialism, but more so because he's willing to attack those who make personal attacks on him, and because his attacks actual have basis behind them, and defensible when considering facts and logic rather than innuendo and emotion. Newt exercises sound judgment and does not change his positions based solely on polling. Newt has some backbone; he's not a playground bully as is Mitt.
If Romney is the GOP nominee, I will write in another name, but I will not vote for Romney. I will, however, vote. I'll vote for the most conservative Congress I can get, to restrain whichever big government leftist we get stuck with. I'll vote with my dollars as I go Galt to an even greater degree. Romney is simply unacceptable, and I pray we won't have to face that terrible election night, when neither outcome would be acceptable.
gremlin
Let me clue you in. America is dead now. The coroner simply hasn't filled out the certificate listing exact time and cause of death.
The odds are 90+% that we are going to have an economic meltdown. And well before 2016. How it will play out, depression or social chaos? No one knows. But it will be uglier than the 30s.
If I thought there was even a small chance that a liberal flip flopping RINO named Romney could prevent that happening, I'd consider voting for him. His policies won't do a thing except ensure that a "Republican" is in office when the collapse hits. He couldn't stand up for a principle if he could recognize one. Which he can't. And he sure as hell isn't going to stand up to the Democrats or the media machine backing them. He'd be nothing but an appeaser to their demands.
It is going to take a miracle to even slow down the death of this republic. Newt is not a miracle, but he's all we have. And I believe that it is possible (though not probable) that he would show some hidden depths and strengths were he to be elected. Romney is a caricature of a leader.
And, as a cold hard matter of reality, Romney absolutely cannot win. I knew McCain (the lying back stabber) couldn't win, but I voted for him. Not doing that again.
Bump!
“That was Bob Dole before Viagra. He’s still a coot, though. “
I think the real reason he was using that Viagra was so he didn’t roll out of bed at night.
I was only listing the LOSERS. I agree with you about Bush. he was a disappointment to me. That’s why his brother would not be an acceptable candidate either. Besides, I loathe the abortion loving Barbara Bush.
Wow you sure are brave now. Let's see how you act if things really did hit the fan.
