After winning a boatload of cash, he suddenly remembered that she wanted to die all along?
BS. And he WILL answer for it to the Highest Judge.
Oh, you know it!
“I thought the audience response added a lot to the last debate.”
Of course it did - for Newt. And they can’t have that. Mittens is their guy.
I don’t think that’s a totally fair assessment of this
horrendous tragedy and murder, and Jeb Bush’s part. I think he did all in his constitutional power as someone who took the oath as a governor could. Would a full frontal, unconstitutional, bold physical conflict and assault have been the preferred alternative ..... ? Can’t say I wasn’t fervently wishing, praying for a Chuck Norris swoop in, taking her to the safety of her loving parents, but ..
When you have demons like Michael Schiavo and Judge
Greer and godless politicians and judges, there may’ve been
no end to their evil mission. Only God knows.
It’s just a grossly sickening, despicable chapter in our country. I still physically cringe at the thought. God love you, Terri .. you’ll never be forgotten.
Take small comfort in the fate that awaits Michael .. someOne else has their sights on him and the equally evil Judge Greer. God will not be mocked.

On Sept. 17, 2003, a Florida court authorized Schiavo to remove his wife’s tube. On Oct. 15, 2003, the tube was removed and Terri began a slow death by dehydration. Six days after that, Gov. Bush signed a law enacted by the Florida legislature allowing him to issue a one-time .. stay of the court order ... that authorized the removal of Terri’s nutrition-and-hydration tube.
Bush ordered the tube restored, and Terri is alive today.
This week, however, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to accept Bush’s appeal of a Florida Supreme Court decision that overturned what became known as Terri’s Law.

Bingo
Bingo
Every time Newt is speaking and Romney looks at him, I see him thinking, “Damn, I wish I had said that - he’s smart as hell - and I’m not.”
I don’t understand why anyone would vote early in a primary. General election, sure.
or the Republican “elite” establishment
Rita, the establishment is exposing their truest fear by pushing the ridiculous canard that Newt will cost the GOP the House and any chance at the senate. The only danger we have of losing the House is if Boehner and McConnell keep trying to work with Obama, Pelosi and Reid. The dealing in 1 year since the Tea Party victory is simply a disaster, and the responsibility lies at the feet of the establishment Republicans.
From my viewpoint the all-out war in the GOP is already started. If the establishment succeeds in defeating Newt, they succeed in defeating themselves. This is the revelation. Better to take down the conservatives and suffer defeat too, than to let the conservatives win and not only suffer defeat, but suffer long-term, if not permanent, banishment. The establishment IS the entrenched power that Newt is talking about.
The establishment made the embarassing, inexplicable deal that Boehner and McConnell struck in December 2010 with a lame duck congress, the deal that was supposed to cut $100B and we had to have a hell of a fight to keep the Bush tax law in place. We found out there were no cuts. The entrenched establishment had that embarassing showing this past August over the government shutdown, again over tax increases, and no spending cuts. Boehner, Pelosi McConnell and Reid are all part of the same hypocritical criminal enterprise that is killing our country. Now those same criminals are readying to give Obama another $1.2T this year and there is not even a fart over it. This is what is killing us!
We know that when Newt rose to power, all hell broke loose over the Contract with America, and Newt had to do most of the fighting himself. He drove the balanced budgets, welfare reform, tax cuts, and drove Clinton screaming and crying to the middle. Newt was the reason for “Triangulation”. He pushed the Clinton Impeachment. Without him, we would have had President Gore in 2000. The worthless Republican senate had no guts and never forgave Newt for embarassing them. These are the real reasons for that phony baloney ethics issue where over 80 baseless charges were thrown out. I remember that and I get so mad rethinking it now.
Newt is the establishment’s worse nightmare, and that is the source of the war we are now going to fight.
You’re right as rain on the immigration issue. There was never a thread of difference between Perry’s approach and anyone elses. In fact, I smirk when Santorum gets so high and mighty on the question. No matter what is said, the doing is something else if you are a capitalist and believe in free enterprise. The tuition thing was all income to Texas with no debt, and with all the promise of making tax payers instead of tax evaders out of kids now with degrees, who had paid there own way. How bad is that? It’s reason and logic and conservative fiscal commitment which spells PROFIT.
Willard will try these same putdowns to Newt the next debate. The gloves come off and Newt let’s him have it with both barrels. I thought tonight when Willard said he had governed Mass as a conservative that Newt or Santorum would make him pay, but they let him off the hook. The father of homosexual marriage in America and 50 dollar abortions in his RomneyCare governed exactly like the liberal he is. Hopefully this will all be brought up at the next debate.
Since it’s run and owned by Jim Robinson.
I don’t know ANYTHING about the truth of the rumor, just that it’s been mentioned on another thread; I was actually trying to tone it down.
I was flabbergasted when I read it, too.
They asked for the audience to be silent. So we didn’t hear the applause that would normally have come Newt’s way if they had been able to applaud.
Rue P. would have gotten booed every time he opened his mouth.
And Romnuts would certainly have been dissed for his petty and incessant attack on Newt, which got him exactly NOWHERE!
class of 1999 and zotted, we sure are losing a lot of long time freepers.
Florida is a classic case where I wish the media would actually report useful information. I keep hearing snippets that say 1/3rd of the ballots have already been cast.
If that’s true - and GOD I hate to say this - Newt has almost no chance. He’d have to beat Mitt by AT LEAST 6 or 7% with the reamining 2/3rds since the polls when those ballots were cast showed Romney with a huge lead.
But is it true? It would be nice if the media would report some actual facts for a change.
Hank
I’ve been pondering Andrea Mitchells’ - and for y’all who don’t know, she’s been married to Alan Greenspan for 83 years - subdued and hesitant assessment of the debate, particularly Newt, and it struck me she was probably galvanized that Paul might capitulate to Newt.
Talk about the elite jumping out of windows.
