EVery time Newt speaks it's a teaching moment.

It is amazing how knowledgeable he is and quick on his feet. He has a great mind.

I was so p.o.’ed this morning. Turned on Fox & Friends for a moment and they were saying that the Republican candidates asking Romney to release his tax returns was class warfare. Are these people nuts? I can’t believe these traitors. I changed the channel to MSNBC of all things.

Newt proved he is the guy we need to discuss issues but I hope for two things from him as we move on. 1- One liners are great but he needs to provide more depth, which he has started doing. Applause lines are great but leadership is doing something that doesn’t always gets applause, like his food stamp line of commentary. This is where he shines and where we need him to continue.

2- Please stop with the government solutions. his knee-jerk reaction is to propose a government solution. We don’t need another program, albeit jobs, medical or food. Leadership from him would be more of a Ron Paul approach ie: fed government, take your hands off, states decide for yourself. I fear we will see a Newt that sees the government as a solution to the government.

I still like Perry but Newt took a step up in my book. Too bad neither got their act together in time to get on VAs ballot.

You are dead wrong. You would know that if you actually bother going to the links you posted and reading the amendments. But instead you choose to post lies and then close your eyes and scream even louder when truth is presented to you. Come to think of it, that's exactly what liberals do.

If you want to support Newt, then fine, be my guest. But you shouldn't have to lie about Rick Santorum to do it.

Perry has to stay in until the lawsuit is settled in VA. If he wins it Newt will be on the ballot too. Giving a few dollars to help Perry also helps Newt.

Perry will get and deserves a cabinet post for his support of Newt’s efforts.

Hateful rhetoric? I'm not the one spreading lies about opposing candidates. Here's what happens with Gingrich as the nominee:

Best case: Tax rates remain where they are, just as they did when he was Speaker. Spending continues to increase, just as it did when he was Speaker. We Americans get saddled with GingrichCare. President Gingrich sees his popularity plummet over the four years of his term, just as it did when he was Speaker. And in 2016, we all welcome a Democrat back into the White House.

Worst case: Four more years of Obama.

I prefer a candidate who has been consistently conservative, who will repeal Obamacare and get the federal government the hell out of my healthcare instead of replacing it with some 'smarter' version of Obamacare as Gingrich has proposed. I want a President who will deal with Social Security NOW instead of passing the buck just as Gingrich did as Speaker. And I want a President who understands manufacturing and knows what it will take to make American manufacturing competitive again on the global market, instead of someone like Newt Gingrich who wants to further handicap American factories with all this global warming crap. And finally, I want a President who, unlike Newt Gingrich, will NOT reward certain illegals in this country simply on the basis that they have been breaking the law longer than anyone else. You call that hateful? I call it truth.

Sorry for the screaming...blame it on cut and paste.

If what you say ius true about Santorum votes, why did he vote with the MOST liberal Democrats and not with the senators from the border states...excluding Boxer and Feinstein, of course.

I'm not lying about Santorum.

You need to check who Santorum voted with...Liberal Democrats!

Paul won’t get out. This is his best campaign showing so far. My concern is he runs 3rd party. That will guarantee an Obama 2nd term, regardless of who the republican nominee is.

Dammit, no! Do you actually believe Republicans think Ron Paul is a Republican? The techno-twits think they a pulling a big wool over our eyes joke and giggling in their cretindom. A 3rd party run would lead to humiliation to the good Doctor and a most likely a defeat for Obama. Most Republicans are not pot-smoking, Iran loving, isolationists. That constituency is more attracted to Obama. The MSM is stoking that fear in order to manipulate the GOP. Considering Obama's broken promises and failures to his followers, why isn't the MSM trying to instigate a primary challenge for Obama. In a nutshell, Ron Paul draws malcontents and screwballs.

I'm more interested in the actual substance of the legislation rather than who else voted for it. Did you bother to read the actual substance. The first amendment made it harder for illegals to collect social security. Santorum voted in favor. The second amendment stripped money from states making it harder for them to deal with their own immigration problems. Santorum voted against stripping money from states.

Click on your links and read. The truth will set you free.

Yeah, because debating Obama is what will save this country. /s

We need to stop worrying about the debates with Obama and worry instead about electing a conservative with the record and experience to bring this country back from the brink.

Rick Perry would have Obama on defense the entire debate anyway. Everything Obama stands for, Rick Perry is against and can explain why. Without his teleprompter, Obama is a schmuck not some great debater. I don’t know why everyone thinks Obama is going to be so wonderful at the debates. He has nothing but failure to tout. His policies are contrary to everything we know works.

We don’t need a smooth-talker to debate Obama for all of three debates but then govern as a moderate or big-government conservative.

Did you watch the entire show? It was only Eric B. who was harping on this and even Laura Ingraham disagreed with him. They then had Newt on as a guest. Overall, the Friends thought Newt won the night and played all of his "hit it outta the park" moments and even did a segment on the standing o. When Karl R. was on, he didn't dive into the discussion but wasted precious minutes on some other silly segment but then had to admit that it was Newt's night. Brian was practically jumping up and down on the curvy couch over Newt this morning. :)

You are wrong!

The second amendment stripped money from states making it harder for them to deal with their own immigration problems.Santorum voted against stripping money from states.

So, you think 6 senators from 3 border states, ( Santorum voted with CA's Boxer and Feinstein) AZ, NM. and TX voted to strip money from their states making it harder for them to deal with their own immigration problems? Is that really what you think?

TX has spent $400 MILLION of our own tax dollars to control the border! We didn't get any help from Santorum!

That is a big part of the illegal immigration problem...Congress has looked the other way and left the border states on our own!

We need someone who can articulate conservative ideas in order to elect a conservative. How many voters out there would choose Obama because we already have him, they're afraid of being racist (yeah, even after what we've been through) or they are afraid to do without other people's money they've come to depend on? I don't think this will be an easy election. We see through Obama but he'll have tons of support from the MSM, unions, and fraud on his side not to mention the usual idiots who think Republicans are evil.

I think Perry does have one thing that is better than Obama - other than his record in Texas - I think he is more likable. But Obama is very good at saying whatever he's supposed to say and Perry is on really shaky ground there.

Santorum is NOT a fiscal conservative.

Anybody who votes against national right to work legislation is NOT a conservative.

Perry is more conservative fically and equally conservative on social issues.

“The Romans knew how to handle problems like this, they killed EVERYONE, then they broke every brick and salted the ground. Problem solved.”

Ah yes, but where are the Romans today?

“I don’t care what their government does or says as long as they are not killing Americans.”

I do. If they say “We declare jihad against America,” or, “Terrorists may train here,” or “Here is some money to fund your terrorism,” or “We will hide you after you bomb the USS Cole,” or many similar things, I would take them at their word and deal with them accordingly.

"Ah yes, but where are the Romans today?"

Pretty much all over the western world. Roman government died around 500AD, Roman civilization was over run at that time, but it recovered and developed into Western civilization.

“I wish Newt would start a media matters type organization like Bozell.”

I think you mean Brent Bozell’s Media Research Center. Media Matters is a Soros-funded leftist smear organization.

Or maybe you DID mean Media Matters??? LOL

I agree that Newt needs a better oranization.
