GOP Debate

“I think his questions helped Gingrichand that may not have bothered Juan as much as some people might think.”
I agree - especially after watching his spot on Hannity afterward. He was excited in saying he thought this was by far the best debate ever, and that heated exchanges like the one between him and Newt are exactly what’s needed in debates.
Juan’s often clueless and he’s a bleeding heart liberal, but considering that, he’s surprisingly fair - frequently actually criticizing BHO. I read that both his wife and son are conservatives. He often gets verbally smacked by Hume, Kristol and O’Reilly, but he’s always a good sport. He sometimes wears his heart on his sleeve and I occasionally feel a little sorry for him, because he’s a decent guy and NEVER mean or snarky.
Newt knows his audience and knew he had to take this approach in SC. It’s not about race, it’s about culture. Traditional Americans see our culture going down the toilet and everybody is too afraid of being called racist to speak the truth.
I like what Morris said and I totally agree. Newt should just run 30 second ads all week using his signature responses from tonight and other great debates of his. Run them - he is hitting people’s hearts by appealing to their senses. This is so powerful and makes Romney look so rehearsed and ordinary. Newt showed he is the real deal.
Just image running this the next 3 days while loading up for bear for the Thursday night CNN debate. He really can turn this campaign around fast. I really hope he does!
Just watched Newt’s jobs answer again and it was beyond brilliant. It had everything you could want in explaining Free Enterprise and Conservatism.
I look forward to the debate next Thursday. I hope he brings that NEWT to that debate as well and stronger.
She’s a smart, classy lady. I don’t think she’ll endorse a candidate for nominee during the process - I think she’ll keep her powder dry and then support the Republican nominee, whoever that turns out to be.
AMEN!
I have no idea whether Santorum is a man of morals except from what others say of him and what he presents of himself. Fair enough. The same with Newt and any other politician.
I -- all of us here -- have solid knowledge of what these guys have done in terms of elected office and political power -- not said, but done, and not what others say they've done, but what we can observe and CONFIRM they've done. We don't see "inside their hearts," but we DO have the ability to see inside their records. And every one of these candidates, though some quite a bit more than othes, have records of doing things that stink with regard to limited government conservatism.
For my money, Newt is risky, but of all the candidates, HANDS DOWN his record also confirms a level of hands-on, git-r-done achievement that has advanced the cause of conservatism, that none of the other candidates can even approach.
So he's been divorced. I know a lot of peope who've been divorced. If I am not personally acquainted with the circumstances in the tangle of family relationships that are part and parcel of any marriage, then I know that I am WAY out of line, morally and as a Christian, judging the person's morality based on his/her divorce record. Anyone who would reject Gingrich because "he's been married three times! is someone for whom I have considerable contempt.
Yo Bray!
Was Grandma a Cajun?
The Paulbots are hitting that poll with everything they've got. Paul is in 1st place, believe it or not.
Too bad that internet polls are the only races Paul can win. ...........wait.... that's actually a good thing ;-)
While I support Paul what I really support are Pauls’ ideas of small honest constitutional government, personal liberty and engaging in a non-interventionist foreign policy. Those ideas used to be the very definition of a conservative republican! Up until the Bushes redefined the GOP in to a party of a big government police state that needs to police the world.
I agree WFB was not the communicator Newt is, but my point was being knowledgeable.
Romney turned to Perry as if the say "Help me out here" rofl.
Newt was supurb tonight, he owned the podium and clear winner.
Are you suggesting that LBJ's Democrat party would've arranged for a hit on MLK in order to change the subject from Viet Nam?
Or that William Ayers and his commie crowd would've arranged for the hit, in order to alienate blacks from white America and enhance their agitation efforts?
Upon reflection, it could be either, couldn't it?
“Hannity is on now, see if he continues....”
Sean genuinely likes and respects Newt, I’ve seen it all along. And why shouldn’t he? Sean’s been absolutely blistering in his excoriation of BHO since ‘07 and it’s grown from there! Newt is the same way, so they’re like-minded. The friendly affection between Newt and Sean seems obvious to me, so I’ve gotta give Sean credit for not falling in step with so many of the other disappointments on FNC.
Haha, no she was a hard working Dutch lady. She had alot of those sayings that kept you optimistic.

That’s exactly the way I saw it as well. He is hiding something.
“never met a gal didnt like a tender spanky’
To quote George C. Scott from the movie “Patton”, she needs a ‘swift kick in the a....’
(did I just say that?)
Yes, I think Perry is a FReeper at heart. He’s been a consistent conservative.
I like Perry and hope he does well in SC. . Hes got a humble background growing up on his fathers tenant farm. He volunteer for the USAF, really supports the 2nd and 10th Amendments and doesnt have the Washington DC baggage like some of the others.
I also trust him to reduce the size of the federal government, get the US energy independent and reform the tax code. I see him as the candidate that can bring real needed change to Washington and repair the damage done by Obama!
The Black Separatists were already on the ground, led by the likes of Malcolm X. The young urban blacks were already into that subculture that is destroying the historic black community. Malcolm, to his credit, tried to instill a sense of discipline into their lives, but his death, perhaps as much as Kings , begins a slide into hedonism and anarchy. The Black Panthers were representative of that.
How many times did Romney say, I’ll answer when I want to, I’ll talk as long as I want to, etc. etc. He came across as rather high & mighty sorta like he did with the 10K bet in one of the previous debates. I know he did it with Santorum over the convicts voting and another time with Newt.
