"A Lebanese suspect from the Hezbollah group has been taken into custody by Thai officials and police are investigating further," Chalerm Yoobamrung told Reuters.
"Following concern raised by the Israeli embassy about a possible attack by a group of Lebanese terrorists in Bangkok, Thai police officials had been coordinating with Israeli officials since before the New Year."

THAILAND???
They’ll try to attack targets they believe are softer and less defended. Iran vowed yesterday to retaliate “outside the borders.” Everyone knows Hezbollah is an arm if Iran.
Hey! “Yoobamrung” is my middle name!
“THAILAND???”
One of the funniest threads ever!
LOL
A friend called last night expressing sympathy on my BIL’s passing but said nothing about this so it’s very new. I will talk to him again tonight as he has been greatly concerned about Muslim terrorists. His daughter and SIL are teachers and had to move out of the South after the school they taught at was burned and they were threatened. It’s dangerous being a Buddhist there.
I’m sorry to hear that. I’ll pray for their safety!
I must have missed that one.
Before this, the deep South has been the only real area of concern and my friend and all of our family live in the North. Our house is in Chiang Mai and the Muslim community there is relatively small. I would guess that there are more Christians there than Muslims but the great majority are Buddhist.
Bangkok is a big concern because there are large Muslim communities both Thai and foreigners. It is a good time for us to be in USA for several months.
It was funny, and loooong. Maybe someone can find it. I can’t.
Was it as long as the famed stuned beeber thread?
I think he was just there on a little vacation with young boys...
Lebanese, eh? Druze, Marionite or Muslim?
A strong POTUS would hold Iran responsible for Hezbollah’s acts.
We need a steady drum beat of these stories in the media. Honor killings, school burnings, etc. all point not just to the barbarity of Islamists, but to the utter nihilism of the belief system sustaining them.
If it isn’t in the Koran...
Thailand has an active jihadist/Moslem insurgency, mainly low level terrorism (bombs, assassinations) and some attacks on the police/troops, mainly in the South. However, since there are Moslem communities throughout Thailand, they could be used by Hezbollah and others as sanctuaries, training centers, or recruiting grounds (such as happened with the Japanese Red Army being recruited by the German Baader-Meinhoff Gang to carry out operations in Israel).
Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda and even the Taliban recruit “affinity groups” and individuals outside their main operating sphere. It gives them more of an international “reach”, if only to make connections to other groups/potential allies.
HERE’S A SOURCE THAT’S BEEN KEEPING TRACK OF ISLAMIST ATTACKS on civil society...
The number is closing in on 18,300 SINCE 9/11.
No other group that I am aware of shows you... the world-wide-scope... of the the Islamist Jihad. We just need to keep sending the media, e-mail buddies, etc. to this site.
Keep in mind that all these attacks are achieve their goal of “MASTERSHIP OF THE WORLD”... see quote below.
(”Dr. Muhammad Badi, supreme leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, said: “The Brotherhood is getting closer to achieving its greatest goal as envisioned by its founder, Imam Hassan al-Banna. This will be accomplished by establishing a righteous and fair ruling system [based on ISLAMIC SHARIA], with all its institutions and associations, including a government evolving into a rightly guided caliphate AND MASTERSHIP OF THE WORLD...”)
A bit off topic...
