awesomme. Hoping on Obama would have meant death for alot of people.
Seems they aimed for a big bang, but all they are getting are lots of small ones.......
reminds me of the mob trying to make bombs and ending up blowing themselves up. Live by the bomb die by the bomb?
They are not blowing themselves up. Looks to me like we are seeing Israeli-operatives doing a bit of mission impossible type assignments. Or even pro-west Iranians.
Mossad is in full swing here. They either take care of it this way or we get a hot middle east war.
This is like a mini-cold war. ‘Cept only one side is really playing.
oh thanks
The People’s Liberation Army For A Free Persia? ............. Naaaaaah. Made that up, but it sounds good.
Good. Here’s to many more successful operations.
Life sucks if you’re an Iranian nuclear scientist right about now. Always looking over your shoulder, scanning for motorcycles, checking under the hood and chassis, wondering why you took this job... Heh.
Good, keep up the good work!
His full name is Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan Behdast, he was 32. The attack was in the Seyed Khandan area in N Tehran near Allameh Tabatabaei University, where he taught.
He was a Sharif University of Technology chemical engineering graduate and served as the deputy director of commercial affairs at Natanz nuclear facility.
It should be noted that Ahmadi Roshan recently met with IAEA inspectors and was named on their report. In March, 2007 UN Resolution 1747 cited Fereydoun Abbasi name as a “nuclear scientist and he was injured by a bomb blast on 29 November, 2010.
Publicity may not be healthy.
Previously, sticky bombs were placed on vehicle doors with uneven results, and subsequently doors were up-armored. This time the sticky bomb was placed under the vehicle below the target, by motorcycle assailants.
A standard GI sock, stuff it with composition B, coat it with axle grease.
Low tech, gotta love that. The Iranians know they are in a fight with a thinking and very observant enemy.
I like the timing on the last attack’s anniversary. Next year you may see a lot of scientists taking vacation..... Doing so would really increase the anxiety of potential targets.
Also, this target was a PR guy, that sends the message that any and all can be degraded.
Thank you gandalftb for the ping and additional info.

I thought you were the People’s Front of Persia?
Update:
Ahmadi-Roshan authored a paper on polymer membranes that offer a gas diffusion alternative to centrifuges for uranium enrichment. Reports are that he headed up that effort.
Iran has been hinting at an announcement on a new enrichment scheme and this could be it.
Iran has had significant difficulties with their P-1 centrifuges crashing and have had minimal success with their P-2’s.
