Nearly all negative spending by super PACs in the presidential campaign over the past week has gone toward opposing Newt Gingrich, the former House speaker who trailed badly in polls leading up to todays New Hampshire primary, according to a WSJ analysis of expenditures reported to the Federal Election Commission.
In total, anti-Gingrich super PAC Restore Our Future disclosed $89,962 in expenditures opposing Mr. Gingrichs candidacy since the Jan. 3 caucuses in Iowa, where he came in fourth. Thats 96% of all negative spending in the past week by super PACs, the newest and most controversial form of political action committee, which can raise unlimited sums of money but arent permitted to coordinate with the campaigns.
Heres how negative spending by super PACs looked over the past week, according to our analysis of expenditures submitted to FEC:
Negative Super PAC Spending Since Iowa Caucus
Newt Gingrich $89,961.75 Mitt Romney $1,548.41 Rick Santorum $1,276.23 Ron Paul $1,121.73

It boils down to this for everyone:
You want to play to win? You go with Newt.
You want to just play? Then you have plenty of toy candidates to vote for.
Rush and Co. needs to grow a pair because Obama isn’t going to give two $hits about their emoting.
I don’t go out of my way but Levin is one man who I will listen to.
I am going through kind of a 12 step program to move away from Faux news. ;>)
I know what you mean about the blood pressure.
gave FOX up except some mornings when I am getting ready and then I am not really watching it.
Megyn Kelly I used to watch but since she brought that shrink on to attack him over his article.
Her cross dressing, homosexual views went to far plus she really has got too much into herself thinking we all need to know where she has a house, who her nana is, how much she paid for her house etc
Fox news has become CNN, only with a few better looking women.
I have had it with them and I am presently weaning myself off of them and finding other things to do with my time.
I am finally going to get into HAM radio, that should be fun and interesting and it will keep me away from Fox news..... LOL
More than ever, this is the wrong year for the Republicans to nominate a rich corporation guy. Even if one doesn’t condemn what Romney did at Bain, one has to see Romney is the wrong guy for the times.
Prince Romney will be mincemeat after the dems get through with him.
I have never turned Rush off before, but I was so pi**ed as his ranting on and on and on and on attacking Newt, I couldn't take it.
Rush made a fatal tactical mistake. Rush should know that above ALL Romney must be stopped. Nobody will remember Newt's recent attack against Romney.
All Rush will do is muddy the opposition to Mitt. I cannot fully express how much I loathe the RINO elites in and out of government.
Levin just said the pig Rove is on FOX stating that if Mitt wins NH, the Mitt will be "the one." [Paraphrasing]
My anger at the three Rs: RINOs, Rush and Rove has given rise to my new tagline.
Iguress I’ll vote for the Grinch if he somehoew becomes the nominee. I surely will not vote for Mitt Romney. He is a better liar than Obama! Other than that, there is little differencde between those two!
Shephard Smith just did a show on Newt and said he was fined rather than that he reimbursed money for the investigation by congress in the 90’s. I intend to write Fox with all these lies they continue to report.
Rush doesn’t believe Mitt needs to be stopped by supposed conservatives like Gingrich using class warfare and attacking capitalism. He’s a real conservative first.
You go first.
Mitt had since his defeat to Ted Kennedy in 1994 to find credible solutions to all negative attacks upon Bain Capital while Mitt was there, and, if Mitt can’t, successfully, resolve this by now, then he’s pathetic! Mitt has been running for POTUS, ever since ‘05, and the fact that he only gets a sliver of pro-conservative voters support, now, should be enough of a message for Mitt to stop running. But, Mitt continues to get the majority of support and votes from leftists, moderates, GOP Elitists, and RINO Republicans, combined.
When they reported Romney as the winner in New Hampshire, it appeared that Megyn Kelly actually had an orgasm right there on television. LOL!
Sure, and the Mormon church owns many radio stations, talk shows, and apparently TV channels as well! No cultist Mormon should ever reside in our white House! Romney comes up with a bald faced lie every time he opens his mouth!
!
Yes he did, and I hope like hell he realizes his egregious error before tomorrow's show, and lays out an enormous mea culpa.
He's always stressed that he doesn't endorse candidates in the primary, but by going off on Newt like he did, he's effectively given Mitt his de facto endorsement in the eyes of many.
It makes me want to scream bloody murder.
Prefer a Mormon to anyone who pledges loyalty to a senile German monarch who lives in Rome, IMHO.
... sigh ... I can't dispute that, and it makes me sick to my stomach.
There are stalwarts on our side, but sadly, there doesn't appear to be enough to get the job done. This is how we lose America.
Truth to be told, I have never cared for Rush Limbaugh.
Which was completely lost in the rest of his bombastic rant against Gingrich. It's all my friends are talking about on Facebook.
