POLITICO's Ginger Gibson reports:
Newt Gingrich still won't congratulate Mitt Romney for winning the Iowa caucuses.
At a news conference in Concord, N.H., Gingrich was asked by CBS correspondent Dean Reynolds why he congratulated Rick Santorum but not Romney.
Gingrich stared at the reporter and raised his eyebrows in silence, eventually drawing laughter from some of the reporters. "Because I know you would be a man of great professionalism, I know that's a rhetorical question. And a good one," Gingrich said.
During his speech in Des Moines last night, Gingrich visibly seethed at mention of Romney, who along with his supporters ran a barrage of attack ads against the former speaker. Romney said he'd spoken with every GOP rival last night except Gingrich.

All this tells us is Gingrich has a temper which he can control. With the onslaught of islamofascism, we need a president with a bad temper controlled by careful thinking.Exactly right. Terrorists get one whiff of mushiness in our POTUS and they'll have battleships in the Straits of Hormuz. Oh wait...

“Whether you like Mitt or not; its a measure of the kind of man Newt is.”
Huh? Personally I like Newt’s response. I hate this BS in government when you absolutely hate the other guy that you still refer to him as the”gentleman from X.”
I think it’s long past time for all this conviviality crap to end when it comes to dealing with ethics. Romney is a weasel and the fact that he did less well in Iowa yesterday as opposed to 2008 speaks volumes about the depth of his campaign. Now, I hope that Newt and Santorum gang up on Mitt and show him that the knife can cut both directions.

First off, you obviously are not familiar with Robert’s Rules of Order.
http://www.robertsrules.org/
This is a set of rules, designed for efficient running of meetings (often contentious) and used not only in the US Military, but also in political as well as international discussions. This is how civilized beings behave - unless you prefer to have meetings degenerate into a brawl.
Secondly, please direct your attention to post #135.

This has been our problem that we our keep kissing their asses. We here at FR are always talking tough and when we get someone that walk’s the talk we have these comments. He is the guy that will take Obama to the wood-shed.
Newt does have big idea’s, he just needs to surround himself with people to keep him focused on an idea. Great mind’s have this character. Keep throwing those idea’s against the wall and something will work. Newt is that guy.

That! Is when one should be gracious.
In the middle of a contest or competition, I wouldn’t give you anything unless my apparent victory was going to so lopsided as to be laughable. then I’d show mercy.

This is why Newt would be a terrible President.
Really??? That's why Newt would be a "terrible president"? Pretty shallow analysis, I'd say. Santorum's a big spender. That's why he'd be a terrible president. We already have one of those anyway.

Fact, not crybaby. Yep. Newt gave that reporter the correct response. Even Reaganesque, I'd say.
