It certainly seems appropriate that the last defendant in the Haditha case is the squad leader, SSgt Frank Wuterich. Leaders take responsibility, and SSgt Wuterich has taken full responsibility for the actions of his squad in Haditha. His stance from the outset has remained clear:
As the last Marine originally charged in the deaths of Iraqis in Haditha, Iraq in 2005, SSgt Wuterich will be seated at the defense table in his general court-martial two days from now, Wednesday, January 4th. Barring last minute motions or outright dismissal of charges, jury selection will begin Wednesday or Thursday. SSgt. Wuterich will be tried by a jury of combat-experienced Marines, and the panel will include at least two Marines from the enlisted ranks.

Marine to serve no time in Iraqi killings case
Published January 24, 2012
| Associated Press
CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. A Marine sergeant who led a squad that killed 24 unarmed Iraqis will spend no time in confinement, despite a military judge’s recommendation Tuesday that he spend three months in the brig.
Military judge Lt. Col. David Jones said his hands were tied by a plea agreement that prevents any jail time for Staff Sgt. Frank Wuterich.
Wuterich pleaded guilty to negligent dereliction of duty as part of a deal with prosecutors. The minor charge carried a maximum sentence of 90 days, which is what Jones recommended.

I read this, and I’m so pissed that I can’t see straight. This exceeds bias or slander by the media, and Fox repeating it has them in the same league as the rest. May they all rot in hell!
One thing you can do is to go and add comments to the story. Call ‘em on it.
Is there some way we can contact LCol. Jones? Obviously he is feeling pressure from his overlords. He needs to feel pressure from patriots. He cannot just kiss a*** with impunity.
There’ll be one more piece, at least, regarding the discharge and a final wrap. It’ll be today or Thursday, depending on when Nat flies home.

Remember this....
Amen to that!
Yes I do remember it, Smooth. That's a great piece by Bob Weimann and a great thread and most appropriate you posted it.
It’s a day I’ll never forget. To be with Justin, his parents, and all of those Marine Corps veterans was a blessing. Duty, Honor, Country were there that day.
