Maybe the ancient version of Bart cut off the head to impress the bullies ala the episode of Jebediah Springfield.

Fakefakefakefakefake......these are the same grifters who had the mushroom that looked like Bart Simpson. Turns out it was a truffle.....and it looked more like Kathy Griffin.

“Artefact” for “artifact” is not a UK alternate spelling I was aware of.

That stone looks awful clean to have been buried all those years. My first thought was maybe it was a caricature of a Pict, but since it doesn’t appear antiquated, I’m not too sure about it.

My first thought—a rainspout gargoyle from a church. Carving them gave the masons a little humor therapy...is it hollow, and could water run out its mouth?

Since it hasn’t been tested - why is it even described as ‘800’ years old?????????
Or have the couple and reporters already determined it is related to the 13th Century Church?
