Amen
It is a beautiful and sensitive photo.
Such a tiny hand....
The article was far more intelligent than what I expected on Salon.

So love the the population reduction crowd. The kind of people that’d gun down your whole family and bury them in a ditch for their brave new world. Nothing like genocidal butchers getting on their high horse.
I think it was done very tastefully. It is also makes a statement that she was nothing less than a human baby, and was still very much loved by her family.
Taking a photograph of a stillborn child, or a deceased infant is nothing new.
My wife’s grandparents did this in the 1920’s when one of their children died as an infant. All dressed up in a tiny casket.
It was a way to remember that a child really did exist.
I find no fault in what the Duggars did. It seems the libs and Left want to “Tebow” anyone who believes in sacred things.
It is a beautiful picture of a precious baby.
There’s nothing controversial about this photo set.
It’s one of their children and it’s God’s child.
Because she was their daughter and they loved her. There's no controversy here, just guilt.
I thought the photo was beautiful, and a beautiful way to honor the memory of this tiny little person. No different than doing the same after losing a 2-week/month/year/decade old child. I can’t get my mind around the whole “a fetus is not a human/baby/person yet” line of thinking! Especially when you see that little hand. The Duggars would have to be psychopathic not to mourn and grieve the loss of this little one.
*** I hope pro life groups will use the photo to show the humanity of the unborn child.****
I read the obit in a local paper as they live about 25 minutes from me. Hopefully it will force Abortion groups realize a fetus is more than a “clump of tissue”.
I’ve thought for some time that the Duggars have been using the pregnancies during the show as drama to keep the show going. This is just one more example and I find it a bit disturbing.
The people decrying the photo are the same that demanded that the Bush admin allow photos of caskets returning from Iraq. Photos of death are only allowed if it serves the agenda of the left.
I didn’t know Mrs. Duggar had miscarried. Prayers up for all of them. And pfui! to those who insist the baby should be erased from memory simply because she was tiny.
The only people saying that the beautiful photos are wrong... are either people with guilt of their own (yes, little tiny, perfectly formed hands) OR push an agenda that deny such perfection and call it “tissue mass” or “choice”. IMHO, the photo of the tiny hands provokes sadness in me for the family and a humble reverence to life... no matter how tiny.
One of my daughters miscarried two babies at 20 weeks and 22 weeks, respectively. The hospital was prepared for those miscarriages with tiny clothing and blankets made by their volunteers! Photographing the baby was part of the services the hospital provided for the family at that time of sorrow.
Those pictures are precious to us.
I used those photos to change the heart of one pro-choice advocate I knew to that of pro-life. She had believed the “clump of cells” lie. That lie is at the heart of the libs objection to the Duggars photos of their latest child.
While I think the Duggars are a little.. strange, I don’t think what they did was in poor taste at all. Too many haters in this world.
There, fixed it.
